  3. nope she said must be atleast 21.... i'm only 21 dude, i'm sorry
  4. well i'm 21, so i meet that criteria, i can live on the dz and handle jumping every day, i'm into base jumping, a freeflier, own my own rig and can do the dishes. i can fly out of kansas city to pheonix, when ya wanna pick me up lol
  5. geez dude you're getting shot down
  6. it cost me just my normal lift ticket and nothing more
  7. come out next weekend, just be sure you don't pack it with the slider down please, i'd like somewhat of a soft opening. you an give me a diving line twist to try to get out of again, good practice for me if it ever happens. they're so much fun, hopefully we get a bit more altitude next time and i can freefall longer
  8. the roaches in brasil are about the same way. there's a joke that people tell about the roaches stealing the manhole covers they're big alright and this is even in the city
  9. scary movies, i don't like scary movies AT ALL! other things i fear are being unsucessful and being alone
  10. that is an AWESOME pic of that hybrid!!!
  11. i agree that i wouldn't do it ebay, shipping costs on those things would be 50 rim probably, too much of a hassle to do so. find a local place or regional paper to do it. as for ebay, i have a low rating and i still sell and buy stuff and ease. it's easy to make a buck when you need it
  12. no it was no my first time deploying into still air, remember i've had a cutaway before, sorry no beer for you. we packed up the red and black manta, didn't really packa suprise, didn't really even pack it, just stuff it into the bag. it was interesting though, didn't stow the brakes, actually had the manta twist up on me and went into a dive as i tried to kick out of the line twist. got it untwisted, faced into the wind, got to the right spot then CHINK!!! built up a bit of speed then deployed the main, your firebolt btw, thing opens REALLY slow when you're sub sub sub terminal, kinda wished it had opened a bit faster it was a blast though
  13. no i did it on a cutaway harness of course, 3 canopies, deployed the junk canopy, cutaway from it then deployed my main
  14. question for the poster... have you ever been to SDC? did you jump their planes, stay at their establishments and eveything else? if the answer is yes, then your post is invalid. i've never met the guy but he was nice enough to send me an email out of the blue willing to give our dz a hand with a boogie that almost fell thru. his safety record is all i'm concerned with. as long as his plane is kept running and he's flies safe, i don't care what he does in his spare time, just my 2 cents
  15. so cool, so much fun, a must for anyone willing to try one. i've had a reserve ride, so it's not my first cut-away, but so amazing to chop it and then go into freefall from an absolute standstill... i can't wait to do a balloon jump if the feeling is the same. although it was so awesome, i can't ever think of a time i wanted my canopy to open a bit faster lol anyone else done one?
  16. in the out of the blue dvd there is a high speed rear riser stall as well
  17. 0:4:3 (well 4 if you count a cutaway lol) 4 on saturday and then 3 on sunday. did an intentional cut-away, so i freefell twice, does that count as 2 jumps
  18. 13, all to 10k, c-182' dz durring a memorial boogie, one rig, self packed i was on the sunrise load and about ever 3rd after that. person who made the most jumps that day got them all free
  19. Firebolt 146 loaded at about 1.7 Soft opening canopy, but not the softest i've had. seems a bit squirley on opening and i feel there would be a high potential for spinning line twist. once in full flight, very fast canopy, snappy turns. don't recommend front riser turns as the canopy buckled on me up high. used a carving approach and lacked in flare, seemed very "heavy" and as if i were trying to dig done for everything it had to keep me from hitting.
  20. they're started to proxy out sites at work. all of a suddent today i coldnt' get to www.ksunderground.com an online college site that allows outside access to the world while at work... now it says "your systems admin has blocked you from accessing this site" so dz.com might be next, although i think i'm safe to say i'm the only person here at work that comes here, unlike ksunderground grrrrr
