Greetings,
I'm purchasing a wedge mudflap alti-mount from chutingstar, listed here:
http://www.chutingstar.com/newgear_en/wedge-mudflap-alti-mount-2757.html
I can't decide which side I want to mount it on. I have an Altico Dolphin; RSL is on the right side, my reserve is a D-handle, and my chest strap loops through the metal on the right side. Looking for advice from people who own one, or can more clearly envision the pros/cons. The left side seems better for canopy piloting, but if it is safer to mount it on the right then I would rather do that.
EDIT: Also, I'm confused as to what to select for the mounting side option when ordering. Does "chest strap adapter" refer to the metal looping buckle, or the metal loop some rigs have that the strap is anchored to? The chest strap is sewn to the main webbing on my rig; can't figure out what exactly they mean. According the the company's website, the default is left-mounted opposite the looping buckle, but there's no default option on chuting star to use as reference.
