Meh, this high drama you speak of isn't even making the front page. As for 2020 POTUS prepare for the most boring circle jerk you've ever seen on a stage come debate time while the candidates bore their viewers to sleep.
-
Not even that. She's saying that he's failing to live up to the hardliner far right goals of building the wall at all cost, even if it's another shut-down or looting social security or ordering the military to the border to round up illegals and force them to build it as slave labor. All of those things would put a smile on her broken face.

Having grown up on and worked on military bases I can tell you that those are two funding areas that already don't have enough money. If anything I'm surprised to have not yet seen an emergency declared to fund the dilapidated state of much military housing.

The economy was strong and the middle class what doing well at the beginning of his term too.

Hey, give him a break. This is the same guy who complained that people like Booker and Harris hadn't spoken out about Fairfax without actually checking to find out if Booker and Harris had spoken out about Fairfax. I'm starting to think that he's a genius of the adage "If you want the right answer on the internet then first post the wrong answer" and is getting all of us to do his news sleuthing for him. And for that I say:

Something to interject here. Some of those current residents may pick up those jobs but many are simply not interested in their neighborhood turning into San Francisco.

There would be an armed caravan of trucks (with truck nuts) circling the White House blasting Ted Nugent on a 24 hour loop if this had been Hillary.

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

I'll check it out. I love that shit. I had an interesting exercise this morning tracking down security enclosures for outdoor wireless access points only to find out that I'd wandered into talking to a supplier who sold things to protect people from cell phone radiation, space waves and chemtrails. -

Well, then...you're going to feel stupid when we send the CO2 to a state of consciousness, man. -

You're going to feel pretty stupid making fun of that when we send all the CO2 into the fifth dimension. -
Ah, the misinterpretation that the left is always for and the right is always against and everyone is full of shit when it comes down to systems they actually want. I'm not a fan of the Green New Deal as it piggybacks a bunch of things that only esoterically have to do with the environment.

I don't feel very trapped. Nobody wants a purist Socialist system (Caveat, I'm sure there's some dreadlocked college kid with a Che Guevara shirt who does.) Everyone wants a balance of a social net and a free market (Caveat, there are people who want an economocracy). So no, I don't think I'm speaking in a broad brush when I say that Trump's statement of "America will never be a socialist country" is kind of a "No-shit, Sherlock".
-
Could you imagine if Hillary was the one who said all of that?
-
No, actually. This is what we've been talking about this the entire time. Those countries have a capitalistic economy with a strong social net. They privatize where needed, gov't program where it doesn't work. The fact is that if you want more (and we do) then everyone pays more taxes. Now, granted they skewed a little of the info when they got to schools. Good public schools perform better in areas where they are close to private schools because good private schools are located in more opulent areas. NOBODY wants socialism in the US as the primary socioeconomic governing system.

Trump now says that figure is $250 bn/yr. This is up from the $113 bn/yr he quoted while on the campaign trail so I guess he's saying the situation has gotten worse during his two years in office. The Anti-Immigration group FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform) is where the $113 number is from. They're a thinly disguised hate group and their report is described as fatally flawed according to CATO and other sources. Even Heritage Foundation only says $54bn. FAIR reached that number by doing things like including the cost of education, etc to the legal children of illegal immigrants and adding in may other vague estimates.
-
Ha...missed that.

Edit: The below was written with the assumption that the quoted text is a continuation of pondering what Michelle Obama was doing there. She's being positioned as a public voice for the upcoming election, it's as simple as that. She has the clout of her husband's administration without actually being Barack Obama which means she can say what Obama would say without all the right wing new outlets painting an opposition target on her back. To put it this way, if Obama gets on a stage in support of Candidate X the outlets lambaste the candidate for being an Obama clone, the sort of news that rings well. If Michelle gets up there it's not as click-bait worthy.

Then let's not do socialism but let's take care of: “Providing all people of the United States with — (i) high-quality health care; (ii) affordable, safe, and adequate housing; (iii) economic security; and (iv) access to clean water, clean air, healthy and affordable food, and nature.” “Providing resources, training, and high-quality education, including higher education, to all people of the United States.”

That's sooo last election. Did you know that Elizabeth Warren said she has a Native American ancestor? Oh oh oh and Kamala Harris had a relationship with another politician 20 years ago.
-
It is pretty amazing that they've thrust her every action and agenda into the spotlight. She probably thanks them for this because otherwise she'd just be another freshman congresswoman with no clout.
-
Democrats ARE calling for the resignation of both Fairfax and Northam. All of your favorites too, Kamala, Booker... The Virginia Legislative Black Caucus is calling for Fairfax to resign.
-
Taking a step back from this, it's likely that the result of Northam having shown up in blackface is that the black Lt. Governor is going to lose his job and the two white men will stay in place.
-
It was in response to his support of changing the approval process for late term abortions that can endanger a mother. Someone knew it was there all along and decided to make it public.

That's kind of like saying you shouldn't worry about drowning because water is natural. -

In case everyone didn't get it, he wrote a satire piece. To whoever responded to me no, I don't think what Volcanoes have emitted in the last 2.5bn years is relevant.
