wow... that sounds wonderful. own a coffee shop and do photography on the side. i've toyed with both of those before... worked in coffee shops for 5 years and took photo classes. that sounds like my kind of life!! i like your dream.

Okay, so most of you would say something skydiving related probably. And yes, if I could get paid to freefly all day, I would be THRILLED! But... Outside of the jumping world, what is your absolute dream job? Are you in it? Do you plan on going after it? Or are you settling for something else? I'm asking because I'm at a very stale point in my career (beating my head against the desk out of boredom), and I'm re-considering my current job path.

we have a wind monitor behind manifest. i check it before every load. it tells you the current wind speed and what the winds are gusting up to. i'm not one to jump in high or squirrly winds... and i'm usually keeping my eye out for newbies who don't know better yet.

I'd bring em to the dz for a tandem. If they choose to continue from there, it's up to them and their instructors to determine the rest. Think about how much you and everyone else have grown within this sport. That person may be able to benefit from the same thing. If they really want to jump, they'll do it with or without your consent. So, you might as well bring that business to your dz. Right? -
