    Thats what probably happened, that or the seatbelt snagged it or something. We are just relatively new to jumping and I was wondering what other kind of shit could have happened

    It was a rented student rig, so i have no idea, But its the one he always uses and its never deployed by itself before.

    While jumping this weekend off a helicopter, my dad had a pretty scary experience. He climbed out on the skid and did a gainer off of it, and while mid flip he noticed his lines around his head. His main had deployed without him actually pulling it AND while in a very unstable position. He recovered somehow and didn't have to cut and pull silver. How the hell could this have happened? He buckled the seatbelt behind him and didn't make contact with the skid. It definitely taught a lot of people at the DZ a lesson on jumping from the chopper though.

    I had some mis-communication on the radio on my first few AFF's as well, but if the info they were feeding me didn't sound right (such as take a right into these trees instead of a left into the landing area) i disregarded it. Most of this stemmed from the fact that me and my dad were both in AFF at the same time and we have very similar names haha

    Yea i will hopefully be venturing up to the one in Deland here soon, since that one is closer to UCF where i am going to school

    Whats up guys, i've been lurking on these forums for a couple months now and decided to nut up and post. Just got my A license this past Saturday at Skydive Sebastian in FL with 39 jumps total. Woo!
