soooo not happy with my hero 3. i've missed out on multiple jump vids because of it. plug it in to charge overnight, wake up in the morning and the charge light is still on. it then has only 1 battery bar. battery life (when it does charge) is still horrible. shuts off on jumps randomly. i updated it last night and will test it out this weekend. hope the issues go away but doubtful... worst $400 ever spent

Has anyone tried removing the padding from a G3 (or G2) helmet? I am sending mine out to get a custom paint job and would like to remove as much of the liner as possible. It looks as though the chin cup is glued to the shell. Also didn't try unscrewing the two allen head bolts on the sides. Anyone try this?
