I was just wondering cause my rig was custom built for me and some of my friends that jump the same container Mirage g4 say that there shoulder straps are barely off there shoulders when under canopy

should my shoulder straps be off my shoulders under canopy? When I am under canopy my shoulder straps seem to be about 2+ inches off of my shoulders is this right?
