What makes you qualified to make such a statement with your experience?
-
I think you need to try harder. You'r losing your touch in trolling. Not saying you ever were that good anyway though. :)
-
I think sabre2 flares way better than pilot, although I have to agree pilot opens more consistent. Nothing that one doesn't get used to though. The recovery arc isn't as overly positive either.

Terminal is terminal. Diving doesn't make it "terminal plus". :D Most peoples terminal is not very impressive... Ever tried speed skydiving??? Terminal for some is up over 500 KPH. and yet its still just terminal. :)

In retrospect it was a silly question; I should have been able to figure it out by myself! Thanks though
-
No. You need to take a bit of time to understand the concept of air speed vs ground speed. You'll for sure cover more distance over ground during recovery, but the altitude loss will be the same.

A whole lot of them weren't even camera-related. They were just incidents where the jumper happened to have a camera, but the incident had nothing to do with the camera. I completely agree with you. I don't understand how 30 jump wonder filming his shadow and flying into the fence has nothing to with having a camera. Nor how someone goes to the cypres while filming openings. Would've happened just the same without the camera! Or forgetting to check if his chest strap was strapped while using all his focus in the plane to make sure camera was on. The camera just happened to be with him. C'mon dude, quit trolling. Your shit might be dangerous to newbies who don't know better. Frankly, I don't give a shit about you'r safety at this point.

A friend of mine hit the gopro on the door on exit. The side of the mount (the part that's attached to the helmet) broke off, and the camera was lost. The mount itself didn't come loose, he had some sort of glue on the sides to secure it as extra to the tape that comes with it.

Paraglider pilots do a better job of teaching and practcicing stall recovery than we do in the skydiving world. Paraglider pilots can't switch chutes quite as easy as we can (they don't cutaway a malfunction), so it's understandable.

I would think rear riser loops would take some time to find without looking at them. I sure don't want to be looking into my risers during dive. :) The result might even be some people bouncing due to trying to find the perfect grip and being late with their level off.

May I suggest different solution to the problem: Get the smallest canopy you can. Then upsize, until it stops hurting.

We calculate wingloadings in lb/sqft and use them in conversation often. Just have to multiple one's weight by 2,205 (or 2,2; close enough). Or just use a wl-calculator from google. Everyone has a cell phone these days, and those have calculators. Not that hard.

ultimate riser length for Katana120 or XFire119
cube replied to lurid1's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I would +1 him still. No point in low drag risers. And riser length, depends on how long arms you have. Have to be able to reach the slider. -
There are others who would appreciate the input too.. :)

Is that really contour 2? Looks more like original contour. The image quality is just terrible.

New firmware update for the black due on the 2nd april
cube replied to spencer's topic in Photography and Video
Does the update fix freezing problems? I'm planning to buy GP3 black at some point, but not until they've fixed it.. -
larsen and brusgaard customer service
cube replied to c10edges's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
+1, they have indeed deserved some brand loyalty from me too. -
both?

I can see no situation where I'd consider it annoying to have hop n' popper aboard. The time difference in flight time is insignificant to me.
-
What gives you the right to tell people what they can discuss and what not? This is a pretty significant accident considering there were 2 aad's present. Speculation doesn't harm anyone, people can only learn from it. Of course it's ignorance, if we weren't ignorant we wouldn't need to speculate as we would know what happened. I don't get your attitude.
