...and as long as they aren't engineers or anything over a size 8. (This only applies to the ones who became women.) Nah beer makes all of us equals. Continental to Aisa...is it as bad as Continental to Europe?

If it's alcoholic, they'll bust you for bringing a combustible liquid aboard. Buy it at the duty free shop and bring it on board. That's what I'm thinking? Me and a few friends a bottle of somethign that goes nice over some rocks and enjoy the flight! -

Ah, it could be a clever disguise. As a guy who was born in Iran I get the "speical" treatment every time I fly. So I think if I'm walking around the airport putting away BLT's and have a cooler of beer I should be ok! Which brings up an important question! OK so they make me pay for my drinks.....can I brign my own? Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. Conti to Europe twice. Once to the UK and once to Belgium. Food was so so. In flight movie was on those overhead screens and free drinks HA! The steward and I quote now "Due to the threat of 9-11 we are no longer providing free alcohol on international flights." I had some smart ass remark about "Look if the guy is ordering a BLT and a Jin and Tonic odds are he's not a part of Al-Qaida!" but by then I just didn't care. Flying to China using Continental. Their service sucked to Europe, is the service any better on the ride to China? Will I get a warm meal or just bread and water? Continental to Aisa...is it as bad as Continental to Europe?

So I'm working on getting this EMBA thing which is costing my company $60k a year....apparently they have this nutty idea that I'm management material......who am I to argue! I haven't killed anyone yet so I guess that's a good thing. Anyhow at the start of the program they talked about the class going on a two week business trip to some developing country to see how modern humanistic business models can be implemented so as to produce the greatest stockholder wealth while keeping the workforce happy. OK....so we all thought we were going to Brazil! But nope, we are going to China and Vietnam! Which is hurting my head, they take all these classic business classes and impart humanity to them so that we as the next generation of managers will understand that worker moral equates to higher outputs and better products.....and we are going to two countries which have no clue what human rights are......but I'm OK with that. I mean really.....I plan on wearing "free Tibet" T shirts while I'm in China and putting a down payment on a few body parts I'll be needing in the not too distant future. And while in Vietnam I think I'll be quoting various Platoon and Full Metal jacket as often as I can. But what gets me.....WE ARE FLYING WITH CONTINENTAL! Good god why would anyone fly with a US based carrier to anyplace outside of the US! Not only do you have to pay for drinks! PAY FOR DRINKS! I MEAN REALLY IS THAT WHAT PEOPLE FOUGHT AND DIED FOR IN VIETNAM! THE ABILITY FOR ALL OF US REGARDLESS OF CLASS OF SEATING TO BE ABLE TO DRINK OUR SELVES SILLY WHILE ON LONG HAUL FLIGHTS! And second THEY MAKE YOU PAY FOR YOUR FREAKING MOVIE! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! Don't even get me started on the low end quality of the food these SOB's give you! And don't even get me started on the age of the average Stew on an US carrier! I mean really! I once saw a sew walking up and down the aisle in a walker pushing her own O2! I mean really! In case of an emergency I'm going to have to save her sorry sagging bonny ass! So my question to any who have flown into these countries are 1) Why is it when I googls strip clubs + china I get nothing? 2) How do you know what you are eating isn't dog cat or other? 3) What's a quick way to check if your entire hotel room is made of led? 4) Tell me Continental has improved it's sub part cattle class style of transporting meet bags from point A to point B! The last time I flew on them was to Spain and they actually handed out sandwiches on the flight and had a projector for a movie! FYI Best airlines I have taken thus far? Air France....they bake fresh bread on the flight....oh what a way to wake up after an evening of overdrinking, fresh bread, strong coffee and real butter! RDA(Royal Dutch)....If you like tool long legged, flat bellied, perky boobied stews this is the way to go! Also on both flights they invite people to the back of the cabin if they wish to pick up a drink or a snack! BA....yeah all the food is curry based be it chicken non chicken or whatever the hell that was.....but they more than make up for it in the quantity of drinks being handed out and the ability to choose from what was 100 or so movies to watch! Worst American, Continental and good god Delta! Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. I have or had and will eventually rebuild a superfly. http://www.superflyrc.com/ Now if you don't have a huge field to fly in I would highly suggest you get one of these. http://www.rc-airplane-world.com/parkzone-ember.html or http://www.parkzone.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=PKZ3380 Best bang for the buck? I would say the Vapor. At about $100 you can fly it in your back yard and not get bored! The carotid artery is located infront of the neck not the back. One way of damaging it is via moving your head back quickly or hyper extending it. This is why older folks are not allowed to do such Yogic poses as Fish Pose http://www.tracis.info/tracis.info.pictures/Fish%20Pose%20(Matsyasana).jpg (stop looking at her tits you perverts) The only way that this person could have damaged the carotid artery is if they were looking up and back at the time of the had opening. FYI to prevent injury if you are ever in an unsure position and want to protect your neck, stick your chin into your chest. For damaged nerves or nerves that were a part of a damaged part and can't seem to "forget" the damage it works rather well. If it's an issue where the part the nerve is attached to odds are it will just numb things and let you forget that you are damaged. As for other things you can do, it's a cost and time issue. Those temprapetic beds are amazing for all kinds of issues. As for chairs, when I took over this office I looked around and quickly noticed that no one was happy due to eye strain and what appeared to be back and hip issues due to 20 year old chairs. So I worked with my supervisor and was able to convince him that due to one of the team members having a slipped disc and another having an artificial hip I was able to procure Herman Miller Aeron chairs and new monitors. The change in the mood of the office and output has been well worth the investment. But that's me and the way I like to run things. I'm always looking for the root cause of a given problem. And you should look at acupuncture the same way. What is the cause of this pain or ailment? You guys are skydivers, you guys and girls should be amazing at this. Just listen to your body just as if it were a part of your equipment. It will tell you exactly what the issue is. It could just be that you are walking in an worn out pair of sneakers, sitting too high in your office chair or god forbid you have seriously damaged yourself and need to see a doctor. Yes, it has lasted....well I'm 33 now and I had my injury when I was 18 so go figure. Depends on the type and extent of injury. If it's lower back pain and all your "parts" have been checked out to be ok, you could if you so wish try Yoga or other core workouts. I also suggest investing in the best chair you can afford for your office since odds are you sepend more time in that thing then in your bed. Yes I have my A i'm just waiting for the papers and what not. Thank you guys so much. I honestly never thought about the lines being shorter and thus less imputs producing more outputs! Thank you! That's about what my rigger and instructors told me about this wing. Student wing +1 so nothing nutty and nothing dull but still safe. The flare I was told was not the best but no worse than the student ZP/F111 wings. OK cool!
-
Yes I am going to downsize slowly. I plan on another 5 or so jumps on the 260. And then 5 or so on the one smaller and so on and so on. As I understand it and was told by my rigger. It's a 210 main and a 200 reserve. So it's close. The reason I'm buying this rig are three fold. One I know the owner, and he has taken great care of his equipment. It still looks very good for it's age. Two he is willing to work with me on the price. The price does not inclue the AAD but with the AAD I should have enough money for the equipment and lunch and a good number of jumps. And last, me all the equipment and a bottle of beer come to 200lbs so I'm a little better than 1:1 As for comming down from the 280 mark. I would have to say my amazingly soft landing on the 260 in the guys fron yard. I just stood there looked around and realized I just landed in a yard no bigger than the hanger and I did it while in full controll. And I did it standing up! I quickly sat down and pulled the euipment up so that it wonldn't get damaged but...I was just amazed! Yes...chest strap loose...not open And Yes..slider behind head. Major difference between a 7 and a 9? No clue? I looked saw lots of different ideas, read a few web pages. Looks as if a 7 is thicker and has less forward movement. Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. Well spoke with my rigger and my instructor. They both indicated body position will have to be better when going closer to 1:1 and that turns will be tighter. Toggle pressure will be hit or miss depending on the design. They indicated that the flare height will be about the same but expect things to be moving faster. All of which I understand. I'm also not going to buy this until I actually jump it next year. The seller is kind enough to allow me to place as bit of a down payment and hold it for me until I have downsized. The things I'm looking for from you guys if you can provide would be, since this is a 7 cell and I'm use to jumping 9 cell ZP/F111's if there are little things I could do or should know to have a safer ride. That's all. Case in point, one key suggestion was to loosen the chest strap to allow the smaller canopy to fly flatter. One thing we don't do with student canopies due to their size. As for looking online I found this. http://ozcrw.tripod.com/crw_canopies.htm But reading this stuff makes everything sound perfect. I was jumping a 280 navigator. Worked well slow sleep landings, good fun. This past week end I jumped a 260, and thanks to some very strong winds I was pushed way off and landed safely in some guys front yard. I was very amazed how much control I had. Turns out I'm not as bad as I think I am. Now I'm most likely going to buy a 210 Triathlon with a Talon container. Nothing amazing but one step above student gear. I'm buying it from someone who I trust and who took very good care of his equipment. Now, please help out the new guy without screaming at him. I already packed the Triathlon main a few times, noticed that 100% zp it so much more fun to pack than the 50/50 zp/f111 stuff. I plan on downsizing slowly down to 210. Another few jumps under the 260, then the 240 and then the new to me 210 (has 50 jumps on it) As I go on smaller and smaller parachutes which bring me closer to a 1:1 wing size to weight ratio. What are things I should watch out for and what should I expect? Will toggle pressure still be the same? Do turns get tighter? I will lose a good bit of glide right? Thank you Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. The only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and fools!
