Eclipse 330 and 365. They do make a 400, but I find it to be a bit big. Nice toggle pressure, great flight and flare, and no pesky brake stows to get hung up. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

The effects of outside winds on a SV non-recirculating tunnel are not noticable till they exceed 25mph, and then they cause a completly different phenomena than you describe. Most of the vertical movement in the SV -non-recircualting tunnes is flyer induced. Teams often forget about holding levels. Another occurance in the Orlando, and Perris facility (Not sure about AZ) is the ability to "cavitate" a fan. If too large a burble is created against a wall, a fan will loose efficiency, and the over all power drops out. The new facility in the UK and following recirculating designs have elimitated that problem by placing the fan motors at 90 degrees to the airflow in the chamber so flyers burble effects are negated by the time they reach the fans Blower designs will always have the problem of fan burbles in the flight area. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. No. #1 the Main P/C will still be right where the reserve P/C is going to go, since the its going to seek the relative wind. (One minor argument FOR the pull-out system) #2 Don't wait time. It's a high speed mal, you don't have the time. Freefall rigging is a bad idea, get a canopy over your head. In the event of a failed cutaway, or an entanglement situation, it is more likely to result in a good deployment. If the freebag and reserve pilot chute entangle with say your still attached main, the free bag arrangement allows for the reserve to have a chance to deploy cleanly, rather than a horseshoe. It is a vent that allows for consistent opening characteristics, and allows the reserve to work perform to the design criteria. Making a parachute that can open safely and quickly at speeds ranging from zero mph to 150 mph ain't easy.
