The Katana probably wouldn't suit you in the 135 size either. As the canopy scales up the cell volume gets larger allowing for more distortion. At least that's one theory I have. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

I would sugest that two events are being confused then. Wildwood (which I thought has honly happened once before) and Nationals AT wildwood. They really ought to be seperate events. It would have been nice if SDAZ had made an effort to bid for the event. I am interested to see what happens NEXT year, when it's been suggested that CP will no longer be a "TEST" event. Will DZ's have to provide for it, or will we be back to having seperate events, unless the nationals bit is won by one of the 3-4 DZ's capable of hosting the entire thing. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Nationals has always been about the seeing who was the best of the best, willing to show up jump, compete, and win, without the motivation of any sort of cash compensation. You would like to tarnish that with a "Cash Purse"? Next I assume you'd like to make the Olymics a "Cash Purse" event? Contrary to your personal beliefs, it ain't all about money. Check out the history of the USPA Nationals.... hell check out the history of skydiving. "Cash Prizes" are a relativly new thing in the sport. So Dawn, when exactly have you ever been an IBA instructor or a SKyVenture owner/operator? You don't see me pretending to be some sort of expert on any other type of tunnel, so why don't you find out what you're talking about first. The criteria for 2 people to fly together is simple really. Both persons should be able to control fallrate, heading, and hold a stationary position in the tunnel without thought. Sometimes one of the flyers can still be in the process of fine tuning these skills IF the other flyer is skilled enought to be considered a coach capable of flying or walking out of harms way. The ENTIRE IBA progression is based to ensure the saftey of flyers, while assisting them in the process of being the most cabable flyers possible. Your write up on your experience at SVP was hilarious. At one time you complained about not being able to do some sort of "trick" with another person. The truth of the matter is the instructor on duty did not see a sufficient level of control from that flyer, not did they see you contributing to the saftey of the situation. Believe me the session was reviewed among the staff...... Dawn, you are a capable flyer, but it seems that you feel the need to tell everyone just how things *SHOULD* work, when infact you don't seem willing to find out why they are the way they are. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. That is how SVC is also, if you can prove you can fly they have no problem letting two people fly together. Adults that is, not sure about kids as there have yet to be any kids that are more than first time flyers in the tunnel. Saturday night, had a mother/son doing two ways in the tunnel.....

After just viewing the segment (on the Spanish Network incidently) I have to say I'm not that surprised people didn't react. The girl's protest came off much more like a whiny brat, throwing a tantrum, not a child in fear. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
