  1. eh? Got some, huh ? It's ok. You're new. You'll soon learn. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  2. one sure way... ESCROW. Costs a little bit (1-3% of total price, but it's definitely the safest.) Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  3. Actually, I think it is quite different. For the Sam Goody album, you have costs involved in the making of that package that the CD or DVD comes in. You have the cost of Sam Goody storage space in their backroom and shelves. Then you have the actual cost of the music - the artists share, RIAA share, everybody elses' share. However, for Internet downloads, there is none of that. Not only that, but the duplication and storage of this material is fractions of a cent. Or think of it this way : I make 50 copies of something and throw them out on the street, free for anyone to pickup. Did it cost me that much money to do this ? NO. Then why should the music industry charge a person for EACH copy of this music. In simplistic terms, I look software piracy and music copyrights like this: They call it stealing, since it is taking away their money if it were to be bought in a store. I call it BS, because if it wasn't available FREE to download, I sure as hell wouldn't buy it. If I wasn't going to buy it in the first place, how am I stealing their profits ? F' them.... Edit, btw, I do work in SW development, so I do see both sides of this argument. Maybe if the software or music was not wallet-gouging, I would consider buying it. But since the stuff is so overvalued anyway.... Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  4. SIGH... I miss http://www.mame.dk/ The site is still around - hard to get to, but they stopped the downloads a couple years back. Still the best informational site on all 5000+ ROMS (yes, my friend has them all. See below. ) and the emulators. However tombstone ROM burning is still around (google it) if you're looking for free ROMs. They only ask that you pay for the cost of DVDs and shipping. (BTW, this is not an advertisement for illegal activities. There is nothing illegal about having game ROMS. How you use them is a different matter. ) DISCLAIMER Warning! MAME is an emulator. It reproduces, more or less faithfully, the behavior of various arcade machines. But hardware is useless without software, so images (files) of the ROMs which run on that hardware are required. Such ROMs, like all commercial software, are copyrighted. Therefore, it is illegal to possess a ROM image file if you do not own the original ROM. Needless to say, ROMs are not distributed together with MAME. Distribution of MAME with ROM images is a violation of copyright law and a violation of the MAME license, and it should be promptly reported to the authors so that appropriate legal action can be taken. 6. I got DL, but not the 3D version. It's the full copy of the original arcade version. PM me if interested. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  7. Cool Beans. Yeah, the animal shelter won't hurt. In fact, that is the first place I'd probably go with pictures of my dogs if one of them got out. Putting up posters is a great idea too. 8. Dude, don't be a dick. Take the puppy to your local animal shelter to see if someone is looking for this dog. I'd be pretty pissed if my puppy got out and some dickhead decided to keep my puppy without finding out if someone is looking for it. They'll let you keep the puppy in a week if nobody claims it. 11. Um no. It's called displacement. If you pull the sponges out, the water level will drop. When you squeeze the water out of the sponges, the level will still not be as high until you put the sponges back in. Good thought tho. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! 14. Ouch, that sucks. But THAT is exactly the reason why I always leave my pullup cord in the closing loop until right before I tuck my closing tab on my rig. Well, that and a few times I've pulled the pin by farting with the PC trying to fold it or get in the rig. It makes closing the rig easier if that happens. Although, I've never left one in my rig before after packing. It's kinda noticeable right before closing the closing tab that something aint right. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! 19. Simply, the things that cannot be replaced easily are a must have. All other objects can be easily replaced. In order: Pets Computer, PDA, and Cell phone (got to be able to reach people to find another place to stay) Other memories - photo albums, priceless (to me) things A few days worth of clothes Skydive Gear (expensive, but can be replaced, so not high priority) I hope the weather is nice to you this time and the storm veers off course and hits the east coast instead. 21. Mine - Fraggle Rock. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  22. Yup got to agree there. I actually hate jumping in the late summer (now) since it's too damn hot and it slows me down so much I only make 2-3 jumps a day. The spring is definitely the best for me. I've been to about 10 dropzones and Byron definitely has the best sunsets from 10K under a canopy. You can see all the way to Tahoe and all the way to the beaches. Plus the way the setting sun lights up the rolling hills and lakes is gorgeous. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah!
