_______________________________________ Brush is one thing. I am curious what it would do to a deer. Roll that carcass under your vehicle and it seems, it would tear hell out of the front end, exhaust system, etc. What I have seen of the 'end result' of a pick-up with a grille guard, hitting a deer has been minimal. I recently saw the end result of a new Mustang that hit a javelina. Came damned close to totaling the car. Chuck

I know, what you are talking about. Those things are tough!!! Out here, everbody has 'Ranch Hand' grille guards. They seem to do a good job. The worst thing in hitting a deer is, having it go through the windshield and kick you to death. Out here, we have deer, javelina and feral hogs to contend with. I damned sure, don't want to hit a pig! Chuck

A deer, as you know, can sure mess-up your vehicle. In the last month, two of my friends have hit deer. Both were in pick-ups with grille-guards. Neither vehicle had more than $2500.00 worth of damage. 1-headlight each and minor fender damage and door damage. Both, were able to keep driving... the grille guards did their job. I'm not pushing grille-guards but, they are a damned good idea if you drive a lot in deer country. It's good that you're o.k. after your 'encounter'. edit to add: Is that a '49 Buick in the background in one of your pictures? Damn good lookin' car! Chuck

I understand, where you are coming from. Years ago, when I took the written test for my Senior ticket, I had to wait... 120-days for the rsults! During that time, I went over every question (that I could remember) and tried to recall how I answered them. I drove myself nuts. When I finally got my results/ticket, I thought I was going to crack. I had missed 1-question! I can still, tell you that question... and correct answer! I'm sure, that is only slightly, what someone like yourself or Kris experience(d). You folks put in more time, energy, blood,sweat & tears than we'll ever know. Chuck
