I got an email from ALTI a couple of weeks ago saying the software was going into beta within the next week.. who knows when it'll be out

I have the PC5 and have the same issue, I did NOT cut mine off. It is possible. (I haven't seen the model you are using so i'm not postive how it works) but I was able to get it so the hand strap is only connected at one point, i then wrap the strap around the front of the camera (basically in front of where the IR port is) and around the opposite side.. fits in my bonehead still and it isn't cut. Albany area skydivers? Know a former state trooper skydiver?
kevin922 replied to kevin922's topic in The Bonfire
Was curious, a friend of mine was on a plane and the person next to him is married or engaged to a skydiver in the albany area, used to be a highway patrol officer but had a skydiving accident that messed up his legs.. he still jumps though. Anyone who i'm talking about? -
How many Classic jumps before a Skyflyer jump?
kevin922 replied to leoholanda's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I don't know anything about you, or your experience with wingsuits - but if it is possible for you to put a few jumps on a classic that is a demo or loaner, purchasing a gti for your first suit may be smart. You'll quickly "outgrow" the classic.. the gti has a great performance range. -
Dang how many people does this thing hold?? 8? (7 skydivers, 1 pilot?)
-
How many slots you have open on the 27th? groundzero and I are also doing a balloon flocking dive if anyone is interested in an earlier load.
-
Did he have a spare wingsuit or something? Or just let you use his

How many Classic jumps before a Skyflyer jump?
kevin922 replied to leoholanda's topic in Wing Suit Flying
You can't really put a "x number" of jumps.. a typical safe progression is 5 - 10 on a classic 15 - 30 on a gti, then a s3.. your milage will vary. Going from a classic to an s3 is a pretty big jump but can be done, probably the best thing to do is find a loaner GTI to put a few jumps on (if you already have a classic) -
jesus..

Supreme Court allows Rosa Parks to sue OutKast Monday, December 8, 2003 Posted: 10:33 AM EST (1533 GMT) The Supreme Court on Monday refused to intervene in a lawsuit over the song "Rosa Parks" by the music group OutKast. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Story Tools -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RELATED OutKast among 2003 Grammy nominations WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Supreme Court refused Monday to intervene in a lawsuit over the hit song "Rosa Parks" by the Grammy-winning musical group OutKast. The action, taken without comment from the justices, means the 90-year-old civil rights figure can go ahead with her lawsuit against the band. The 1998 song is about the entertainment industry and its lyrics do not refer to Parks by name. The chorus of the song goes, "Ah-ha, hush that fuss. Everybody move to the back of the bus." Parks claimed that OutKast violated her publicity and trademark rights and defamed her. She lost her first round in federal court, but a three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio, reinstated part of the lawsuit earlier this year. The case will now return to a lower federal court judge. Parks wants all references to her removed from future versions of the record. OutKast has argued that the song is neither false advertising nor a violation of Parks' publicity rights and is protected by the First Amendment. Parks made history in December 1955 when she was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery, Alabama, city bus. Her arrest triggered a 381-day boycott of the bus system by blacks and led to court rulings desegregating public transportation nationwide. The case is LaFace Records v. Parks, 03-504.

Skydive Arizona Dropzone.com 2nd Annual Holiday Boogie II
kevin922 replied to sangiro's topic in The Bonfire
All exits from the balloon require standard skydiving gear. (This means that a main and reserve parachute are required in your container.) -
I wonder how much damage would be done if you were to set one of those down gently with the gear up.. just thinking about the fact that retractable gear heli's are few and far between and a pilot might "forget" to do that :)

Nice! I bet that thing climbed like a muthafucka.. how high did you guys go and how long did it take to get there?
