yes, they do, but you have to get it done before they start on the boogie circut. if you want to jump a 85 vx, come to z-hills this weekend, and you can jump mine later
-
it is defintally the pilot. i mean if you put jc colclasure under a velocity, he'd still be great. if you put shannon pilcher under a vx, he would still be great. same with all of the pd swooping team, and icarus team. if you had them all switch, i'm sure they would still be great. later

what color is that?? later

they are defintally 2 very different canopies. openings. well, the vx used to open like shit. now, the opening are tamed down, and pretty good. the fx, same thing, they used to open pretty shitty, but as of like 2 or so years ago, they finally got tamed downd and pretty decent. my vx, opens nice, and doesn't "dance" very much, if not at all. same with my old fx. riser pressure vx, high, very high, but still managable fx, it was pretty good for me, i liked how it was, but any crossbraced canopy will seam like a lot to your vengence anything else, well. they both have really good glide. and demo them both, as much as you can before you make a decision. and also demo the xaos's and velocity. and when the onyx comes out, jump it, jump everything you can before you make a decision. later

well, let's hope he told ya that just to keep that secret or something. but maybe they only will have military shit coming out. who know. later

Velocity's, How "ground hungry"
skygod7777 replied to Skydive2's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
yes, they are more ground hungry than a vx, but i wouldn't say a hole lot more. about the same as fx, maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less. and it dives more than the xaos 27. now, i only got about 50 jumps under the velocity, and like 35 under a xaso 27, and they are all of similar size. vx's-85, 72, 74, 79, and 109 fx's=78, 84, 89, and 115 velocity's=79 and 84 xaos 27=78 later -
hell, i'm anticipating a lot of new stuff coming out, not only from PD though and if PD is coming out with something new, it should be pretty interesting later
-

-

-
oh ya, what size wings is it??? later
-
BEER that's cool that you got a new rig, hope you love it later

hell, those would probably be harder to pack. i know that my vx is harder to pack than a brand new 99 crossfire, or 120. the little ones tend to be kinda a pain at first, just like any other canopy, but it doesn't go away as fast. later

well, we tried this at our dz, our problem wasn't really the people going in the area with out enough experience, it was more that the big, slow canopies were still in the way. they would fly right over were we were supposed to be hooking. the best idea i would say would to predeclare who can land there, like each person. and if somone else also wants to be able to land there, have them go do a hop n pop, and have them try the course, and if they can run it safely, then they can land there. but if someone that wasn't determined aloud to land there, and does. they get grounded for the day or maybe the weekend. just an idea later

Mirage G4 - what do you think about it?
skygod7777 replied to skydiverek's topic in Gear and Rigging
the part that i hightlighted i never said they did i'm just saying that they think there gear is the best, just as every manufactoror does. and they support there resons why it is better, or as you said, giving all the facts about it, but never saying that another rig is bad because if a rig is on the market, it won't be bad. it may not be as good looking as others, or may not be quite as safe for freeflying, or birdman, or what ever, as others, but they all are safe. and it also sounds like you really really like your vector, so of course you are going to back it up with everything you can. later -
you suck, it's like 2F here. i don't want to hear bitchin and moanin about 46F. that would be warm to me if i hadn't traveled to much this winter. and 77F i really don't want to hear it, that's almost ideal for jumping in. later
-
hell, almost any brakes under a 60 sq ft. canopy is deep damn though, that thing looks like fun, i want to jump it later
-
dude, don't downsize too quickly. if you do, i can almost garuntee you'll screw up and pound your self in one day. and i hate reading insident reports from someone killing themsleves under a fully open canopy. and if you go slowly, you'll be the better canopy pilot in the long run. really. look at all the great swoopers, and see thier canopy progression, they were really slow downsizing, learning the canopy completly before moving on. just something to think about but hey, it's just my opinioin, do what you want because opinions are like assholes............everyone has one...........and the all stink!! later
-
shit, i ment to say: no, you want to come to skydive wayne county this summer and pack don't you oops um, i don't know, i don't think so. later
