  1. No, silly. She was GETTING DRUNK at a bar. In sincere imitation of her hero, Trump, she was spending money given to her by gullible fools. THe best part is that the bar is owned by a Democrat, and is known for hosting Drag Shows. And the money was spent back in July. But wasn't "Beetlejuice" their FIRST date? (Note: could be wrong on the first date thing)
  2. Well, in 1941, the Japanese Zero and the German BF-109 and FW-190 were better than anything that the Allies had. By the end of the war, the Germans had managed to upgrade the FW-190 a fair amount, the BF-109 a bit and produce a handful of very sketchy ME-262s. The Japanese still had the Zero. They had a few designs in development, but nothing came out of it. The Allies, OTOH, had managed to develop the P-51 Mustang (all the way up to the "D" model), the F6F Hellcat, the P-38 Lightning, The F4U Corsair and a few others. All of them superior to their enemies. Not to mention that 'little thing' the Americans called the "B-29". Neither the Japanese nor the Germans ever developed a serious, long range, heavy bomber. The R&D of the Americans was a big part of it. The industrial might was a big key, but not the only one.
  3. Also, 'net worth' and 'cash available to pay hospital bills' are two VERY different things. Plus, ICU for the uninsured can hit 7 figures within a week or so. That stuff is expensive.
  4. Wait a minute... None of you turned into zombies (or government controlled robots) on Wednesday?
  5. Also doesn't suit those who don't want to pay their share in taxes to help fund that education. Or those who exploit the uneducated workers, paying them shit wages for difficult, dangerous work (that doesn't require much education).
  6. Do you expect anything else from those pieces of shit?
  7. You're going to have to add on serious penalties for hiring illegals. Instead of civil fines, make it a criminal act, put the supervisors, HR (hiring) and executives of the companies in jail (or prison).
  8. Diamond, real name Lynette Hardaway, died back in January. Likely from Covid, but the family never released the cause. However, even dead, she'd be a better speaker than Gym Jordan.
  9. Kind of long, but an interesting opinion piece on the 'border crisis', Trump's lies and the reality of the R 'hate mongering'. Source: https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/trump-immigration-mexico-republicans-2024-rcna118785
  10. Sure it does. His use of that term says a LOT about him. Nothing that wasn't already known, but further confirmation is always interesting.
  11. 2nd Viet Nam. Maybe 3rd. And you're absolutely right. Slim keeps calling for 'negotiations' and 'peace talks', but has yet to call for Russia to leave Ukraine. All that has to happen to end the war is for the Russians to stop shooting, pick up their stuff (their stuff, not all the things they stole) and start walking east.
  12. Kinda funny how many people who have negotiated with Biden find him VERY capable, sharp and intelligent. That includes allies like France's Marcon, opponents like Putin and even domestic opponents... Like McCarthy. Heather Cox Richardson, Oct 4th. https://www.facebook.com/heathercoxrichardson
  13. Fun fact: Biden didn't call Giuliani an 'operative'. He called him a PAWN. Very different thing. An 'operative' implies that Giuliani knew he was being used and was actively working for Russia. A 'pawn' implies that Giuliani was being used, likely without his knowledge. They are also sometimes called 'dupes'. A good example of a 'pawn' or 'dupe' is the two women who killed Kim Jong-nam, half brother to DPRK's Kim Jong Un. They were told that they were going to participate in a prank for a TV show, when in reality, they used VX nerve agent to kill KJn. Rudy was following Trump's orders. I don't think he's aware enough anymore to fully understand the implication of those orders. He was doing work that clearly benefited Russia. And Putin. Oblivious to the reality that those orders came to Trump from Putin. Rudy just had his nose so far up Trump's ass that he had no clue what he was doing.
  14. Right. He had ample opportunity to 'reach across' during the run up to the shut down, but waited until the last possible moment to do so. That 'reaching across' is what cost him his job. He also pretended that the Ds wanted to shut down the government and said as much in an interview last Sunday on "Face the Nation". That's one of the reasons no Ds voted to keep him in place. He is a Trump stooge. Good fucking riddance.
  15. Well, he may or may not have 'had his mouth shut'. After Trump posted a bunch of shit about the Judge's principal clerk, including a picture of her with Chuck Schumer, pretending she has a relationship with Schumer. https://apnews.com/article/trump-letitia-james-fraud-lawsuit-new-york-371675a2482c1de01f516f29b5a43d33 Will Trump be able to restrain himself? Maybe. I kind of doubt it. Will he see real consequence if he can't? I hope so. I REALLY hope he puts his own fat ass in jail.
  16. There's lots of reasons McCarthy won't get the job back. Not that he couldn't, he just won't.
  17. Nothing odd about it in the least. He has no concept of 'honor', 'integrity' 'patriotism' (the real kind, not the 'performance' kind), 'courage', 'honesty', or any of a LOT of other positive traits. Kelly, Mattis, Milley and a variety of others who served on Trump's staff, those who HAD those qualities, saw Trump for who and what he is. Trump also got to see men with those qualities. And saw how lacking he was in those areas. So of course Trump hates them. He knows they know his failings. And of course, those men are Trump's strongest enemies. For the exact same reason.
  18. Well, he's letting the "Freedumb Caucus" bully him like a grade schooler.
  19. I was looking for a thread about the Republican Presidential Debates. While it may exist, I couldn't find it quickly or easily. This will do. During last weeks Presidential Debates, Mike Pence made a bold and broad statement, calling for the 'repeal of the Green New Deal'. It's neither new nor news that Rs always oppose any legislation that protects the environment. Or addresses Climate Change. Or costs rich people anything. So his stance isn't terribly surprising. However, his level of intelligence and how well informed he is(n't) isn't surprising either. The Green New Deal CANNOT BE repealed. In order for it to be repealed, it would have had to be made a law. It never was. So Pence wants to repeal legislation that never passed. The question arises: Is Pence that stupid? Or does he know that his supporters are that stupid? AOC had some choice words for him. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4227145-rep-ocasio-cortez-mocks-pence-for-calling-for-repeal-of-green-new-deal/ I've never been elected to ANY public office and I know how that process works (more or less). I learned it back in the 70s during Saturday morning cartoons.
  20. Kinda hard to say when all he did was post the link. No comment one way or the other. Ya know, like is required.
  21. Nah. The pigeon struts around, knocks pieces over, shits on the board and thinks it's won.
  22. Totally missed that it was hers. Just did a search and this was what came up. I've seen a couple different ones, this one is as good as any.
  23. All he sees is that he can goad you into a response. It's the proverbial 'playing chess with a pigeon'.
