Huge air show here in Louisville on Saturday for the Kentucky Derby, so they were doing practice runs. http://thunderoverlouisville.org/ My daughter actually stood in the yard watching them and ooh'd and ahh'd. She's two. But at 11:30 last night? She woke up yelling. Friends with most of my neighbors on Facebook, and they all reported the same thing. Screaming kids. Not sure why they were doing runs that late. They can wake me up with night runs anytime. When I was married we lived almost under final for ACY. It was amazing when the house shook from low passes even when you were in the basement. Even late, late, late at night. Always be kinder than you feel.

I feel your pain, sister! Yesterday morning it was landscaping equipment from multiple houses around me starting before 8am. It went on for hours. Today it was the school buses idling in the streets longer than usual for some reason and the asshole teens across the street who must think no one can hear the thumping of the bass when they have music cranked inside their POS cars. I'm sick as hell since Wednesday night and I'm ultra sensitive and cranky to noise. And ear plugs do not help. Grrrrrrrrrr. Back to bed for me. Always be kinder than you feel.

No kidding! Just in Europe? I've had it happen in the US a few times, too. Nothing about it printed on the machine. Just guessed and it worked! I think I'll try it tomorrow at the branch so if I mess it up they can give me a new card on the spot. I think. Always be kinder than you feel.

I hear that means when you're not jumping but flying right seat and on take off you lift up your tshirt to flash your friends near the runway. The pilot only gets a quickkkkkk flash of side boob. To me there's a difference in thinking it's cool and badass if you can do it but when it comes to actually doing it and saying it's ok, you must face the consequences. Still badass, but not condoning it. Always be kinder than you feel.

It's time to get a different job, actually. I don't have money worries in the sense of "paying my bills", I'm just… well, not happy with what I can do. All around me my friends are taking vacations, buying homes, doing 50 jumps a month and getting to really enjoy life. I'm not gonna pretend it doesn't make me really jealous. But are you HAPPY despite the material things your friends have or do? Not remotely. That's because you don't have children. Short timer. Always be kinder than you feel.

My thoughts exactly. I wish them well but fund your own legal defense. You made the decision to do something illegal so pay for it yourself. Or go Pro Se if you're so smart. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. ETA: I think BASE is badass awesome but what's illegal is illegal. I can't condone illegal things. It's against who I am. Always be kinder than you feel.
