I think it was the Jugaloos. BTW, the Jugaloos are a family, not a gang. http://www.tmz.com/2014/01/08/insane-clown-posse-gang-lawsuit-justice-department/ Freaks. Always be kinder than you feel.

Remember the gentlemen on the streets of NYC last year, no shoes in the cold weather? The cop who got him boots and socks? IIRC, the guy was shoeless again within a week or even a few days? Weird backstory to that one but still.... sad. Always be kinder than you feel.

Awwww.... that was sweet. Always be kinder than you feel.

This thread made me remember some really interesting and funny homeless guys (and a few women) who came through the court office over the years. They didn't want help from the social services agencies. Just wanted some money for booze and cigarettes and drugs. Some were veterans, some had families that couldn't or wouldn't help or were just tired of the roller coaster. Lots of people with obvious mental illnesses. I still think of two of them once in a while. One guy, Wade Harmon, every April 4 I remember it's his birthday. Another guy, Don Johnson, was an amazing artist and would carry his sketch books with him. He would come to my office window once in a while to say he couldn't pay his fines but to also tell me to look at his drawings. A few others liked to stop by and just chat (and because the city hall lobby was warm, I think ). They liked to tell me stories of times my Dad arrested them or even helped them back in the day. Lotssssss of stories, lots of lost souls. I wonder if some of them are still alive? I had to review unpaid fines and issue warrants for defendants on a weekly basis. I remember hoping some of these guys would come up as delinquent and were eligible for warrants when the weather was really cold or a snow storm was coming. I'd give the warrants to the cops and they'd know to try to get these guys first so they'd go to county, get warm and get fed. Some of them would ASK for warrants to be issued so they could get arrested in the winter. Ahhhh.... please don't attack me for telling that story. Hmmm.... weird walk down memory lane this morning. I've never understood how people get hooked on them either. They make me feel awful. I took them when I had to but got off them as soon as possible. I rarely take anything for fear some super secret embedded addiction gene will kick in and show it's ugly face. I have a brother who died of a heroin overdose while IN rehab. Some things scare the hell out of me and that's one of them. I guess I could name 100 people in my area that're addicts. Sad. Always be kinder than you feel.

I had to defriend almost everyone a few years ago when work wanted all of our social media accounts and passwords. That didn't pan out (deemed illegal) so come back? I can PM you the link if you want. I'm sorry. I told everyone in a post before I did it. Always be kinder than you feel.

Maybe Aleve for the swelling? It worked on my knee pain like a charm. Don't know if that type of medicine would apply to your injury. And I think my old meds said hydrocodone on the bottle. Can't remember. Always be kinder than you feel.

What's your Myers-Briggs personality type? (Link)

I've had to sit through the full day seminar stuff for this at work. I don't remember what I was then or how we got a 7 hour work day out of it. Always be kinder than you feel. -
They do little for the actual pain, you just don't give a F**k. Now that makes sense. Maybe I should've kept them as I need to not give a F about some things lately.

I manage the maintenance for a company's properties (60 Apts, 30 Town Homes, 4 Retail Centers, 3 Mini Storages) and have been / Still am a self employed General Contractor, and work as a Project Manager/Superintendent for the same company that I manage the maintenance for. I see! No wonder you know so much on the subject!

Ahhhhhh!! Be careful with them. I've heard horror stories!! I took my first one ever (generic) after I hurt my knee a couple of weeks ago. They were old from when I hurt my other knee almost 2 years ago. I filled the prescription back then but never took them. Just made me want to puke my lungs out. I can't believe people get hooked on them. Didn't help the pain. Aleve actually worked better. Go figure! I hope you feel better soon!

I thought Lisa claimed 49? It's a shame I can't claim the 3 glasses of pinot noir I had tonight. 3 for one special, tonight only. 49 Does Vicodin count? Ok - 48 - My bad. I don't think they really work. The generic ones anyway. That're almost two years old. So I flushed them. Always be kinder than you feel.

Well - I sent a friend request and din't even know you were eligible . . . but NOW . . . How YOU doin? See?? I happened to have a regularly scheduled doctor's appoint the day after medical marijuana became legal in NJ. My doctor opened the door to the exam room and said, "You too??!!" But I didn't go that route because I've never done it so I don't know if it would help anyway and I'd lose security clearances with a + drug test, even with a prescription.
