I have the smart 160, maybe it would work for you with the optimum, I'm not sure. You could try and ask Mirage for their recommendations but that was a futile effort for me when I was buying.

I currently have a Mirage G4 M3 with a pilot 168 zpx in it, you might not be able to fit a pilot 168 zpx into an M2, and if you do it will most likely overstuff the container and stretch it out. See attached pic for how mine looks. just a heads up. ...and btw I LOVE my 168 zpx pack a little easier is an understatement, brand new first pack job it went into the bag like butter, it doesn't have that poof back up laugh at you slippery attitude new zp has.

Glasses under a FULL Face hard Helm .. Which is best?
copland007 replied to Swoopper's topic in Gear and Rigging
i have a FreezrMK2 and have worn normal prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses with no problems. http://gallery.flyingchipmunk.com/My-Jumps/ParateC-FreeZR-Mk2/12374843_ZoaLg#884562180_yR5qj i love it, except it isn't a freefly friendly helmet at all. you might be able to mod it but as is it will fly right off your head in a sit. the problem is there is nothing to tighten the back up like other helmets, fully tightened buckled up i can slip it right off my head with minimal effort on the ground. -
would this fit the contourgps with the bigger record switch?

anything but that lol

What's your preferred flght time measuring device(s) ?
copland007 replied to likestojump's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I've had the good luck with my AltiTrack set to SLO mode, but it's still susceptible to being fooled. At least once it hasn't recorded anything on a jump. -
How many ws jumps before teaching others to fly?
copland007 replied to SuperGirl's topic in Wing Suit Flying
One thing I haven't seen pop up (forgive me if a previously unhidden post discussed this) is the currency of these jump numbers. It's one thing to have 200 WS jumps in a year, totally different to have them over 10 years. I think it's an important part to take into consideration. I learned my lesson that jump numbers alone don't mean much when I jumped with an extended period jump number person (lucky to be here to talk about it). As a new WS'er myself with less than 200 WS jumps I couldn't see myself instructing people at this point. I'm still learning my own suit and new techniques every day. Could I honestly say I could fly with a student and predict/react to their possibly wild ride... nope. I'm sure there are people out there with awesome flying skills that fly well beyond what their jump number levels are (not pointing fingers). But I also agree as a general idea that a line in the sand minimum jump number is ideal as it sets a baseline for what the rating represents. In the end a rule probably won't satisfy every possible angle, but should try and encompass and represent the best. -
haha ya the supply was the issue, we just need to engineer better distance next time

The birds are plentiful in the US northeast, with new fledglings spawning all the time.

I was spinning on my back until I recovered, "Matt in a blender" :)
-
Here's food for thought... this is my altitrack's record of my first flat spin (or unstable tumbling if you don't want to call it a flat spin): http://flyingchipmunk.smugmug.com/My-Jumps/Pics-of-me-skydiving/12374917_K7N3n#1007877082_6Sk8i Notice the speed at the peak of my flat spin... 134 mph If you were unconscious I think it would be very difficult to maintain slow enough flight to not trigger an AAD fire.

Can be hard to tell from just a still flying shot but this is the guy Lurch is talking about, Vicente: http://skwrl.smugmug.com/Skydiving/Steve-Harrington-Boogie/13556684_VpGEx#988262718_6JVzg

"What do YOU want out of a wingsuiting event?"
copland007 replied to PhoenixRising's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Being a fly on the wall for the vertical challenge @ jt I have to agree that a focused goal per event had a great outcome, being able to refine and focus and push a goal with good organizers. On the other end of the spectrum as still a learning flyer myself, I'd love to see skills camps perhaps as a side-bar at an event for new flyers, sure it doesn't produce front page worthy shots of someone trying to backfly or recover from spins, but they are great skills that I know I could learn a lot about :) How about team based events, set a goal for the jumps/event and have multiple teams compete? docks, vertical, multi-point, rodeos, rabbit chasing, aerobatics, etc... -
oh I totally have to try that now.
