I agree with you that in most case small camera like Sony PC is the best choice. But sometimes - not. let me explain my idea. i want to be able change tool for fixing video. For example it can be very useful for skydiving shows to use video transponder with videowall on the ground instead of simple camera. And this is the only one way to show RW jumps for ground people. I want to have one helmet for jumps with recorder and with transponder. Next goal is to use single helmet for jumping with camera or without it (Small optical device is not so problematic as whole camera) And the third goal is easy changing of video device without changing helmet or camera box. I understand, that many difficuties on this way. But i really need it. To be more quite my question is: Is it possible to have separate video with good and small optic on helmet and fixed device as another changable part?

Could anybody tell me smth about separate video system - i mean small optical element (smth like web-cam) on the helmet and portable recorder in other place? I saw smth like this on some BASE videos and i want to use smth like this instead of whole camera on the helmet. Any ideas, advices?

I'll be in Seattle in September It will be my first trip to the USA. Of course, I want to skydive there :) Can anybody answer to some my stupid questions? 1. Where I can jump near Seattle? I know Skydive Arizona, but i think it's far from S. 2. Which documents I need for solo jump? I have FAI "B" licence, medical insurance and logbook with 300+ jumps - is it enough? 3. How much money I'll need? Thank you beforehand and hope to your help.

I think you are not quite right. there are many things, better than skydiving (e.g. beer drinking, sex, good car driving, paintball and more) BUT!!! It is cool only AFTER SKYDIVING

Sad story about my mistake. At saturday i took rig of my friend and he tooks my rig. We have the same rigs with the same main chutes. I did about 100 jumps on this type of canopies. I did low turn like i always did it on my chute, but his chute did it not like my one. I had very hard landing. I fill strong pain in my hands, but fortunately nothing was broken. So the moral is: be careful and don't think that you knows everyone about every canopy. Safe jumps!

Hi, pack! I jump now with PPK-u AAD. Full name is like Half-automatic chute device. It's fully mechanical device (like old FXC) works in two ways: - by altitude - by time (from 3 to 5 secs) Usualy - it used on reserve chute. It opens reserv chute by pulling out at 300m (1000ft) if main canopy is not open. Another way to use - on military rigs with round canopies for short-delayed (up to 5 secs) jumps. Here producer page (only in russian) - http://www.mpz2.ru/win/prod/p5.html

Who are the normal people? People, who all their life sit on the ground and see to the sky with open mouth? No-no-no, I don't think so.

Welcome to the new life, skip! Be lucky!

I have more choices than you - I like RW, FS and like to jump with camera. And I completely solve this problem.

I do skydiving here sometime, and I think - it's cool DZ with two L-410 planes. Good people, crazy atmosphere and many other good facilities. But also I think, that it is unsafe DZ - too many injuries happened at last time here. So - if you can care about your safety yourself - it may be best DZ in Russia for you.

Babelfish translation is very funny. Really international version is under develop now. We located near Moscow (about one hour by car). Jump ticket costs $6 to 12000ft; We are listed in Dropzone catalog - here . May be you dont know, that Moscow is located in Asia

You are VERY welcome!

Thank a lot to everyone! 1. We already have AN-2 - it's really great plane to drop 10 skydivers from 4500-7000ft, but we need more :) 2. We already have Mi-8 helicopter, which is great for 30 jumpers from 13500ft - but very expensive for 10 skydivers onboard - minimum load is 16 people onboard. 3. Also - we have Mi-2 helicopter to drop 6 skydivers from 9000ft - but it is very slow (20 min) So - we are looking for small and fast plane for the 6-8 passengers delivering to 12000ft. As I understand - best choice will be Cessna 182/206 for 6 people onboard and Pilatus Porter/Cessna 208 for 8 and more peoples. Am I right? And where I can find this planes in Europe (best - in Eastern Europe) for leasing? Is it principally possible or I'm great dreamer? :)
