Put a fork In him, he's done, and this is great news for Clinton. http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/28/politics/gary-johnson-chris-matthews/

Have you ever given consideration, that there have been countless generations before you who were convinced that they would see the return of Jesus during their lifetimes? These same people claimed that the times that they were living in were unique and that the Bible clearly foretold of these times. Have you ever given this serious consideration?

The detectives were very closed lip, they were very nice and polite, but closed lip. I wondered when they talked with my bosses if they maintained a neutral stance, I think they did. That's what really pisses me off, is I would be fired before the investigation was over. I'm wondering if I should write a letter to the person who fired me and ask for my job back, and also enclose a copy of the letter from the nursing board. Or do I find a lawyer before I do anything else?

What was your pay rate compared to the other employees at your level? I suspect it was a bit higher considering your length of service and the war against women. This isn't the first time I've heard of companies recently trying to find excuses to get rid of older, higher paid employees - especially after government involvement in those business - ie., Automotive, Medical. Welcome to the world of big (government) business. . . I think you hit the nail on the head, I was probably paid 30% higher than a new nurse. The company was just bought and the new owners are doing what ever they can to get the cost down. It was strange in that when I applied for unemployment, my work said I was fired and was not due to collect. When I had my phone interview with unemployment, the girl was an absolute bitch. She told me that " I'm not even a nurse and I know you get fired for stealing drugs" I was absolutely convinced I wasn't getting a dime. I'm not sure why but theyre paying me.

Last February, I received a call from the Caifornia Consumer Protection Agency, they asked if I could meet them that afternoon, I agreed. I was surprised when they showed me their badge and that they had weapons. It didn't take long to figure out they were investigaing me. They told me the nursing board had received an anonymous email accusing me of leaving my patients for hours at a time, and stealing narcotics. I knew these claims were aburdly false. They asked me if I knew anyone who would make such accusations, I said I did. They told me this investigation was confidential and I was not to talk to anyone. I also had to take a urine test. About six months before, we had a new Respirator therapist at work, she was extremely flirtatious. I work with my fiancé and it's safe to say she was not too happy with the new RT. About this time our director of nursing recieved an an anonymous complaint against my fiancé, accusing her of sleeping all night and a host of other things. Everyone knew who wrote it, it was the RT. Every couple of months I would get a call from the detectives asking me for permission to get my work records and medical records. In May, while counting narcotics with the incoming nurse, I was missing a single pill from the bubble pack, the first missing narcotic I had in 12 years. I met with the administrator the next day and she told me that in light of the states investigation and the missing pill, I was fired. She was part of the new ownership team. A few weeks earlier, we had gotten new med carts that were missed sized, this caused the bubble wrapped cards to be crushed, and I believe this is how the pill fell out, they would not let me take the drawers out to see if the tablet was behind the drawers or in the railing tracks. A couple of days later the investigators asked to meet with me again to go over my employment records. I told them I was just fired, they told me that the investigation would not be over for several months. Last week I recieved a letter from the nursing board, it stated the investigation was over and there was no merit to the complaint and the case was closed. It was the hardest piece of mail I ever opened, I knew I was innocent, but one never knows how things like this can play out. There have been several people since I was fired who have had pills missing from the bubble packs, no one was fired. Does this sound like I should retain a lawyer? It's a bit hard finding a job with that on your resume.

It's amazing that some people are willing to put their country in absolute peril just so Hillary in not elected.

This whole thing is going to be bizarre, with Mark Cuban and Jennifer flowers sitting in the front row, these are strange days indeed.

Ohio police officer kills black teenager 'who drew BB gun'
jclalor replied to yoink's topic in Speakers Corner
We've already had this conversation, many times. No other free society on earth is as heavily armed as ours, like it or not. (With the possible exception of the Swiss). I'll repeat this once again. In my travels, all the cops I've met in other countries think American cops are nuts. Because our society is so heavily armed with weapons..................... and rights. Actually, the Swiss aren't armed nearly as well as you think. http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/soldiers-can-keep-guns-at-home-but-not-ammo/970614 -
Heck if you are going to build a plane that big, put a real pilot in it

I thought mine was more intense than my first AFF jump.

So why start a new thread, when we already have a perfectly good one in the forum? I feel compelled to repost the chart showing how quickly CO2 levels are rising in the atmosphere. This generation needs to understand what the means for future generations, and what we should do about it. A large portion of our country believes in creationism. Good luck trying to convincing them about the science of climate change.

So how long does it take to transition to a survivable opening speed?

I really believe that the benefit of the doubt needs to go to police, like in the case your referring to. I think when BLM screams foul on every shooting, even though it appears it was justified for police to shoot, they loose credibility. OTOH, there are many shootings, beatings, and intimidation where there is no excuse. What really pisses me off is when 6-7 cops will watch a single cop beat someone senseless. When I see so many cops not willing to intervene, and then write untruthful reports, I just shake my head.

10 minutes in the tunnel is all you need.

I'm not sure where you live, but in California I could go to jail for watching an 8th grader get beat and not intervening or calling the police. I'm beyond words that you think it's acceptable to watch a child get beat. My mistake, I apologize for speaking out of context.
-
I believe you are correct.

And your point is? We'd both agree on this one. I wonder how come I've never seen an officer(s) intervene when a cop is beating someone. https://youtu.be/HHFnkTRA_0o

So if you witnessed something similar like I did, you would be repulsed?
-
I understand your reaction. I had a similar feeling when you expressed outrage over people praying for the children on your ward. Refresh my memory? Your comments on that issue have always stuck with me as if seared into my brain. They tend to be some of my first thoughts anytime I see a sick child in the hospital or when I see a chaplain walking the halls. I have to say that those words had an effect on me - I don't think I'll ever forget em. I just watched this, you were the first person I thought about. https://youtu.be/cuE3y53hoJM

I believe He is doing it. That is, offering Holy Spirit guidance to the believing Christians. Telling them to walk in faith, to preach the gospel and to proclaim the day of the Lord. Our command is to go into the world preach the gospel and make disciples. That does not change because we are in a horrible situation. Paul was condemned to death, in prison and he still kept preaching the gospel. If nothing else, some of you folks do put on a good show. https://youtu.be/nVG98f8NL5g

I have no problem pulling over even if I'm driving 80 and someone behind wants to go faster, providing conditions are right. If I'm in very heavy traffic and there's no place to go, why would I pull over? What pisses me off, is when traffic is heavy, and people go into the less congested slow lane and speed up and then try to renter the fast lane, even if there isn't room. It basically boils down to the first thing I could ever remember being taught in kindergarten, you have to wait your turn.

I think he could always come up with a halfway plausible reason why he pays little or nothing in taxes. I think his bigger problem is that he gives next to nothing to charity. From what I understand, he has not given anything to his own foundation in years. I think they would also show unsavory connections to China and Russia.

Personally I'd prefer they get good medical care, rather than either of the above options. Odd that you would prefer prayer. Pay attention, would ya? He's talking about what people do while they're waiting to get treatment. (or in many cases, mistreatment) Nah, I think he'd just pray that they get good medical care, among other things. Odd that people like you have a problem with that. I find so strange that they can't seem to understand that concept. The Bible says they have scales on their eyes. When it comes to which to believe about surgical outcomes, I prefer the medical literature to a 2000 year old book written by goat herders. www.nytimes.com/2006/03/31/health/31pray.html?_r=0 But, you're OK with medical practice being the third leading cause of death in America. And, you don't like people comforting one another with prayer. Seems cold, doesn't it? So from here on out, I gues you'll be refusing all medical care.

That probably has more to do with how you interpreted the situation, rather than what they actually said. There really wasn't anything that could be misinterpreted, and it's not like I was the only one that noticed. I do understand that a room full of Handicapped kids is a really tough crowd, but sometimes, words really do matter.
