  1. Being a newbie around here, I think I am supposed to introduce myself. So...I'm Melissa. I live in Central Alabama and while I have done the wind tunnel thing a couple of times, I haven't jumped yet. However, I plan to start AFF soon. Right now, I'm just looking for a good school. If any of you know a good DZ in this area, I would appreciate your recommendations. I also have a couple of questions.... First of all, a friend of mine wants me to do my first AFF jump with him (in Dallas) so we can both pop our air cherries at the same time. But is this really workable? I would assume that it's not like transferring college credits. :-) Also, after you finish AFF but before you get your A license, how easy is it to get someone to jump with you each time? Is it customary to pay for their jump as well as your own? Or are there other ways around that?
  2. Congratulations! It can be difficult for a writer to get a foot in the door (even when not in a cast).
  3. I'm in Alabama as well and am looking to start an AFF course soon. I hope you'll let us all know how it goes for you at Vinemont (that's the one by Cullman, right?). It's one of the DZs on my short list for training.
