i'm at ground zero right now, literally starting from the beginning later this month. today is my bday and today the judge signed my divorce papers so as of breeztoday, i'm 28 and divorced, what a present ;)
i've got 2 awesome girls who take up most of my time and nothing will get in the way of that, but at this point in my life, i've got enough free time to finally do this. i'll have to squeeze it in on weekends mostly, but i've been recently forced to give up my main hobby (venomous herpetoculture) and now i work, work out, and play dad so i can go at this with 100% of my attention when necessary.
i'm excited and still have everything to learn, very excited. i'm gonna read and study up on as much documentation as i can between now and the first class and hopefully will be in a position to zip through the training without any confusion.
i live in north alabama and i'm going to give the dz in central alabama a shot (vinemont). from what i understand, it's a smaller setup, which is fine to me, but i've heard nothing but good things from the people i know that jumped there.
they offer 11 jumps, all the class/training to get the A license (just over $1300 all inclusive) and getting the other 14 jumps to finish it out should be as simple as getting down there on weekends and falling a few times a day.
