Hi,
I had a lifelong desire to skydive, and made my first jump in 1987. Unfortunately, a rough landing earned me a compound leg and ankle fracture, but as soon as I healed I went back up.
I made about half a dozen static line jumps, but never did an AFF or even a freefall. The last time I jumped I did a practice pull but froze...which made me a little antsy about jumping at the time.
My family is grown and I am looking at the skies again. Can anyone give me advice as to getting back into it? Also, I am now in my 50s and have gained weight...I am 6-foot-3 and weigh 240 pounds. Do I need to lose some weight before going up, lest I break both my legs this time?
