Take a tandem jump first.It might answer alot of your questions.

the guy that hit the back of truck is a friend of mine.Ididnt see him hit but I heard the crash from 20' away.he has over 100 BASE jumps +over 500 sky dives.he said plain and simple he screwed up.he was lucky to walk away from that one.2 days later his whole chest was black+blue. we have made a few jumps since then and he chooses to wear a helmet on every jump now.so do I.but I think it should be the jumpers choice.

if I could jump in daylight I would love to take my parents along as ground crew.they know the danger and worry sick about it but they love to watch the video of the jumps of me and everybody having a kickass time jumping.the bust factor sucks too.imagin being in court with ma and pa for an illeagal BASE jump.I just got one of my brothers busted along with me on a really cool jump.

BASE jumpers are a quiet crowd.Iam not a BASE jumper yet but I am a s.a.d jumper d being dam dont take the silence as anything but safty perserverence and the will to survive in an unforgiving sport .

if you understood the complexity and danger of BASE jumping mabe you would think different.you said''to insure safe and incident free jumping'' yeah mabe in fantasy land.this base site may be ahead of it's time.and basejumping definitly is'nt for everyone.but the rules on this fourum are for our own good.and yours
