I had a few beers where Antonio Banderas was hiding and waiting to shoot Silvester Stalone (and later had their last fight) in the movie Assasins. A good friend of mine was a bartender at the hotel where the actors were staying (for the same movie) and got Stalone's son shitfaced to the point the bodygards had to drag his ass back to the room. ...and he was under age!!! It is jumpable every day of the year! On top of that, you will see the most beautifull females (not what you see in NY) Incredible white sand/turcoise water beaches with lots of teeny tiny thongs and you have descent health care. well... the same as in the US HISPA #5

HISPAS is another Brother/sisterhood that started in the spanish forum in 2003. The name HISPAS originated because basically that's what we all had in common. (we all spoke spanish) but now the group has grown much bigger and better and 1/2 the brothers are from the States. Look for us at the HISPAS tent in Rantoul (at dropzone row) We'll be glad to do a jump with you and give you a number. (and for that matter with anyone who's interested) We all meet at least 4 times a year at Skydive Crosskeys (just had the last reunion 2 weekends ago) HISPA #5

See if you can get a team room at the DZ. They are very cheap, have a bed, A/C, small fridge. They also have a big camping area (free) HISPA #5

HI, I am a physician (although not a psychiatrist) I have dealt with patients with Mayor Depressive Disorder and Dysthimic Disorder. There are various drugs used to treat these disorders including selective serotonine reoptake inhibitors (SSRIs), tricyclic antidipressants (TCAs), monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) I did not have time to read the hole tread so I apologize if someone has already said what I'm about to say. There are many "levels" of depression, many treatments and different people do not react the same way to the same drugs. My recommendation is the following: Follow the USPA "rules" ----Quote from a previous post-------------------- Section 2-1: Basic Safety Requirements C. Medical requirements [NW] 1. All persons engaging in skydiving must: a. Carry a valid Class 1, 2, or 3 Federal Aviation Administration Medical Certificate; or b. Carry a certificate of physical fitness for skydiving from a registered physician; or c. Have completed the USPA recommended medical statement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If this is what the USPA requires, get it and keep it on a file! It is not your call to determine if he/her may jump. You may loose your license, have the DZ shut down and be liable if something were to happen to this student and a full investigation were to reveal his medical condition. I am not saying don't let him/her jump; I'm saying get clearance first, don't risk it!!! Hope this helps, good luck! HISPA #5

Where to go for scenic DZs on east coast?
rsein replied to tonyhathaway's topic in Events & Places to Jump
CrossKeys has one of the most beautiful sceneries in the world. From 1,000 feet you can see a Twin Otter, SkyVan, 3 caravans, Porter, Biplane, Chopper and a few cessnas!!! HISPA #5 -
