Well for your information, since you all know more than everyone, I wrote that review before the sorry excuse for manifest told me to go to the gas station to get ice for my moms rolled/swollen ankle...May 9th, your manifest copped an attitude with me on may 11th Mothers day...so no....it wasnt cuz of that, nor was it mentioned in the review, so now what do you have to say?so how about you ask the source before making your own assumptions. I wont entertain this bs thats for sure. My bf goes there cuz its close to his summer job, not cuz of the place lol They wont let him keep his dog there, at least in cross keys he doesnt hide her, like the other weekend when he was partying with me and my friends in keys, bar hopping in the dzo's rv as we roll down the street chanting "F the ranch" lol Im not the only one that doesnt like it, Im just the only one with big enough balls to say something and not give two f's. Ha! I wouldnt go up there if I got paid to skydive so you can def smile on the thought of not seeing me there, cuz I sure do. Oh and its funny how I got "crazy" lol when? IM curious, oh wait, I dont care lol Never was I disrespectful to anyone of the people up there until they got nasty with me, even then I was a lady about it, but whatever, all of you can go f urselves, have a great summer.

LoL not at all, first of all its convenient since west point is near by, only reason why, 2nd of all, that post about traveling was simply a vent, he posted so then I posted, everything smoothed itself out and now we are jumping at my dz and end of the story....My serving my country does give me the right to say what I want and what you want,so get over it.......Im pretty much done with the back and forth, pretty stupid and a waste of time, enjoy your summer, have fun skydiving and remember we are all entitled to our opinion. Hope you find something else to entertain yourself with, I will be the adult and end the bs :)

Funny how guys get all pissy when someone says they dont like a dz, get over it, I didnt have a good experience, end of story, not every one will, I know many who havnt and glad they left......I never had instructors there first of all and Im glad I didnt....no one at the shop could care less about me and simply humored me because I was the girlfriend of a guy who jummped there.....by instructors who say they have been there and dont like it, is not Marius at all, sorry but there are more instructors that I know other than him that have been to the ranch....I dont need to say anymore, you can just read my review on here, pretty lengthy and all supported....so just get over it, find something better to do than gang up on someone who has the opposite opinion of you, you can talk all you want about me and drag my name all over, at the end of the day I know who I am and where I love to skydive, its a place where I got my license in a nuturing and very professional environment, and thats simply not up there.

I never said I didnt experience the Ranch lol, you're sadly mistaken, dont get your panties in a bunch, we are all entitled to our opinion, Ive been to your umm dz many times, dont like it, end of story...You can cry up and down your dz telling people about me and I couldnt care less, I have no intentions of going up there, and even got my bf who jumps up there to leave that dz cuz I opened his eyes lol...not to mention this past weekend meeting a jumper to used to go to the umm ranch and hated it enough to go elsewhere.....when you tell me how many years you served in the military, then you can tell me to stfu about my opinion, ask me how many years I put in.......So run along and spend your time doing something better other than worry about what someone thinks about a dropzone...have a great day and Blue Skies!

LoL yea Im sure do, we are all entitled to our opinions, I gave a few years of my life fighting for my country to be able to say wtf I want, what have you done? You and I have very different experiences at differnt places, nothing wrong with that, so you know what you can do with your namecalling and Id say grow up but I see where you jump so thats basically impossible to do. Just another example of the people up there, so Im not surprised at all by your less than intelligent comment

Awww you're sweet, Id love to go but my birthday is June 8th and I plan on having a big party at my DZ that Sat the 7th and then some more partying on Sun....I will add you to my friends list and try to hit up KC another time, sounds like fun though, college guys n girls just having a big ol party...nice!

I would say cool, but after a few things Ive read yesterday on a thread I think I would prefer to not go to Chicago to jump, however I have been there a while ago and it was a cool place.

Yea this is true, I have places to stay in CA since I was living there for a few years so it would be nice to hit up perris and elsinore. FL Ive lived for a few months in the summer and it does suck but being at z hills would be worth it!

Hey Hausse, I def have a dz which I love and its mos def not the ranch, there is nothing I like about it, the people and workers are def not my cup of tea and I speak from experience...not even my former instructors like it there, and they have way more experience than I do...if they wont jump there, that says alot....You should def come out my way, I already told you which dz I call home, have you been there? You should come out and make a jump with me, I wont be taking any trips until my rig is ready and it wont be til mid june sometime....and if I ever lose my mind and head up to the ranch, Im definitely taking you up on that place to sleep, I wouldnt want to drive back to Brooklyn after some drinking and partying lol

So being fresh off student status and newly single, I plan on taking a road trip to celebrate both great events! Visiting different dropzones and meeting great people is what I hope for this summer. I want some suggestions on where to go and stay? Any help is greatly appreciated, you can private message me also...Thanks!

The 1st time I visited the ranch was in March or Apr 08. I was happy because I never seen actual skydivers landing and it was awesome. The people outside in the creeping area(kind of one)watching were the local jumpers and employees were pretty cool for the most part, but you had to start the conversation, if not they will ignore you. I was lucky enough to be an outgoing female and have a boyfriend who jumped there so it wasn't so bad to get people to warm up and chat a bit, and of course, have guys flirt with you boasting about how many jumps they have (I could care less). I visited the ranch about 4 more times after that day just to see my bf jump and I basically roamed around and sat outside in an uncovered slab of concrete alone because no one talks to you unless you're wearing a rig,a regular or work there. I thought if people saw me with him they would be friendlier but I was just seen as a whuffo. He took me upstairs to visit the pro-shop while waiting for a load and there I met Sonic and Donna who are pretty cool and I ended up spending most of my time there while he jumped. So 2 weeks go by and him and I go on a vacation to Z Hills, omg! I did not want to leave and 3 weeks later I'm still teary eyed and missing it a lot. After completing my AFF there and creating the best memories of my life, I'm jaded. Being a student jumper starting out with such a huge student friendly lz(with arrows telling you where to hold and friggin land!), then coming to the ranch is like going to Disney-World then going to Coney island a week later...its a waste of time comparing. I cringe thinking of jumping at the ranch because the lz looks so small that it doesn't leave much room for error, thank god I'm pretty decent under canopy so I'm not that worried but I do believe in murphy's law and not having many outs scares me.... So I email asking a question about a discount for mothers day since I wanted to buy a tandem for my mom and since other dz's(z hills,long island) were having a special that day I thought the ranch would, but they wouldn't even ask Billy if it was possible, they just dismissed the thought as if they got paid per tandem too (maybe), at least skydive long island told me they would ask the owner and have an answer for me by the next day, and they did. I called again 2 days later to reschedule my coach jump since the weather wasn't looking great for my visit there and I was put on hold 3 times, well not really hold, just put my line down on the desk as she joked around and booked up parties for tandems, typically if you're already in a conversation with a caller, you can say please hold for a sec, answer the other line to see if its a quick question, if it is, answer it, if its not, then place them on hold and get back to the person who called first! so after that happened 3 times I looked at my cell and my timer said 20 min, not all of which was booking my coach and my moms tandem :( oh and not to mention that when you walk by their window, if they don't know you they will either roll their eyes or ignore you, unless you're a guy paying them compliments for some reason...tip, its nice to smile to all customers whether you know them or not... Last weekend 5/2/08 I was there to set up a tent and we noticed a lot of broken bottles and trash around the camping ground, the platforms were decent looking but some just needed to be torn down due to safety risks. I'm not saying the camp is all horrible but if you don't get there early enough in the season you will not have a decent place to camp, all good spots go fast and there aren't many. The location is in the cut, basically if you don't know the area, its easy to get lost getting there, I was lucky enough to know someone who frequently visits. Im not saying this is a bad place, because it really isn't horrible, but when you go to such a great and big dz, then you come to the ranch...you are spoiled and this doesn't cut it. Maybe I need to stick around and feel out the place more, perhaps in the summer it gets better and people get friendlier but for me right now, I'm going to check out cross keys and long island and feel them out, the lz is bigger and maybe if I have other dz's to compare the ranch to, other than z hills, then maybe I can better choose the dz that best suits me because right now, all I know is that z hills is calling my name.
