Switzerland has like 20% foreigners that live there legally. (And they can do that without pissing in a cup, drawing blood, beeing x-rayed and finger printed like you have to do in the land of the free btw.). If they want to change things they can become a citizen and cast their vote... -
I know, crazy. Yet this whole thread is about how more guns would prevent them from beeing used And no I'm not afraid of firearms, I used to have an automatic assault rifle and shot hundreds of rounds with it, like most swiss men. A gun is about as much of a deterrent of murder as the death penalty is. Which seems to work really well... [/sarcasm]

I think in 2008 all wireless provider shut off their analog service. Not really sure by that description but if it'a an old analog cell phone then you can't get service for it anymore.

Can someone explain to a european what's up with the bycicle riders that are on your lane but ride in the wrong direction (towards you)? Often they are on bmx style bikes with no lights or reflectors etc. Scares the shit out of me every time.

Ideally from solar power, but until that is a reality I would prefer nuclear over coal. And coal over sending billions of $ to a few that build man made islands and cities in deserts... -

A coal burning power plant is probably more efficent and easier to make cleaner burning than thousends of little combustion engines. -

As a Swiss living in the US, I have to object to that, lol. Switzerland has similar principals as the USA, a government structure modeled after the USA, love for guns etc. but the actual implementation of policies are quite different than here. - Unemployment is like 3.9% currently - Even unskilled laborer makes like $3000 a month - No underclass that lives in mobile homes with plastic covered single pane windows. - Even the smallest of village can be reached by this thing called "Public Transportation" Living in the US is great though, if you make enough money that is. Anyways, sorry for the interruption...

There is this flash game called pandemic where you have to evolve a virus to wipe out mankind. The game is about balancing the aggressiveness of the virus. I'll be in Switzerland this September and was wondering if the windtunnel there would be a good oportunity for me to work on my stability issues. I'm doing a static line progression and have problems holding a stable arch position. Anyone that can recommend this tunnel, and how many minutes should I budget for that? Thanks.

You can also pop out all the numer keys of the keyboard (the ones above QWERTY) and then you put em back starting with the 0 instead of the 1. Usually takes them a while to figure out what's going on.

Did you actually try walking somewhere? The naive Swiss that I am, the first day at work I tried to get some lunch by walking. I had to return and get my car. No sidewalks, no way for pedestrians to cross the street etc.
