Like has been said, we have an unclear view and no audio so at best you're judging on speculation. I've never been a cop, but I have run in to a few burning building in my day and you don't turn off that adrenalin all at once. Jumping out of a plane with gearing up and climbing to altitude is nothing like going dead stop to full blast in danger with no warning.
