I didnt know there was a good way???? To regulator I dont know about double wide leg straps, but take into to consideration that student gear is one size fits none. When you get custom gear it will fit better and will not hurt as bad. Also whatever rig you get get the best harness/ back padding they have! I would not jump that for anything! It looks like it would work ok but think about the fact that at the center of the bend the metal is now weaker. It could bend even more easy just by haveing rig on, in plane and that pin having pressure put on it by window frame, door frame, etc. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Why someone would only change 1 out of 2 batterys in a life saving device we may never know. Better yet Neptune sugest you use only high quality batterys when replacing your batterys in there unit, but Argus suggest using any battery of same model. It has nothing to do with being too "damn good to talk to students" and every thing to do with inserting your personality into a time and relationship where it doesn't belong. The last thing an instructor needs between him and his student is some other distracting person. I didnt say i would talk to students while they are being traned. Sorry, that is; 1) The Tandem Op's job. 2) None of my business. I'm on the airplane to neither help nor hinder the tandem op. That's their business, not mine and frankly interactions with the tandem passengers beyond a "welcome to skydiving" handshake is inappropriate and even that is pushing it sometimes. Thats total BS! That is the problem at alot of Bigger DZ's. The up jumpers are to damn good to talk to students. At my home DZ we talk to students as if they were up jumpers. Not the same topics, but we dont ignore them! I cant count how may times i have heard Tandems say that they would jump just becuase of the enviroment. No we dont need every Tandem to become a jumper, but it does help them have interest in skydiving. In return if they liked the first jump they will be more likely to contiue. Normal has it correct! Depends... are they "her bills" as in her credit card bills, her student loans, her personal obligations, or household bills? If you've decided to split the household bills say, 60/40 based on your respective incomes, and she's got a small amount of extra cash for this one month and she paid the amount you agreed upon for bills, it's probably not unreasonable for her to spend it on clothing, as that's something she's going to use, and clothes do wear out and need to be replaced (provided she's shopping somewhere reasonable and isn't paying thousands for runway fashion). In addition (still assuming you're referring to household bills here), if the "extra cash" was from Christmas gifts (either she was given cash or returned some gifts), she should be spending that on herself, because that's what the givers would want, and if they'd bought her presents or she'd kept things instead of returning them, she wouldn't have had the cash anyway, so don't count that against her. If you've agreed to split the household bills based on her income and she pays that, and every time she gets a little extra for christmas or her birthday and you expect her to throw that towards the bills so you have to pay less and she can't enjoy what she's been given, then yes, you're an asshole. If, however, you've been paying her student loans or credit card bills or other personal, non-you related expenses, then no, you're probably not an asshole, unless you've been encouraging her to spend money she can't afford, for example, do you live in an apartment that is more expensive than she wanted because you promised to take up the slack? do you encourage her to pay for activities she can't really afford, reminding her that you're taking up the slack? My wife has the hardest job in the world! She is a stay at home mom and takes care of our three kids! She gets a check from our company and spend as she sees fit. As long as the personal bills get paid i dont care were the rest goes. But when we met she was a single mother that took care of all of her bills by herself! I trust her with our money. I used to hate hop n pops! Untill one day at the DZ with a low cloud cover 2,000 - 2,200 ft . I did not like the idea, but i wanted to jump so bad that day (as I do all other days). The clouds didnt clear by 10-11 am so the other jumpers decided to manifest for a 20 min call. The pilot and other jumpers talked me into going. I figured the worste would be that i had to ride the plane down if i was to scared. We ended up doing maybe 6-8 jumps at 2k to 2.2k. It was one of the best days i ever had jumping!!!!!!!! About 4-5 pm the clouds cleared enought for 1 full alt. jump! It was a great day! I love H&P now! It was good to get the low exits out of the way just in case! BTW anyone out there that dosent like the idea. It really is not that bad. You are moving so slow vertically at first you have plenty of time! Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool!
