When i let go of the the hackey it blew up into the base of the pilot chute (the base being the only place on the pilot chute that has a hole large enought for the hackey to go through) It went in between two of the webbings. It looked like a colapsable pilot chute that is colapsed. Understand???? If not let me know. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

I dont know the exact cuase, but i do know that most PCIT's can be preveted with out a sweat. I have talked to many experienced jumpers and riggers that dont know what cuases what happend to me. I have had some say it is very rare, but what happened to me is why some people wont jump with a hackey or a free fly pud. Another said it may have to do with the weight of them. The same guy said that he has never seen it happen to a pilot chute with a PVC type handle. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

I also know that an uncocked pilot chute //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Not just that but i have a hackey and after releasing it the hackey blew up in between the straps at bottom of pilot chute where the bridel connects. When i got down (with main and pin still in place), the pilot chute was still cocked. The pilot chute would not inflate due to the hackey being through the connecting point. With such a talent for distorting the truth, you ought to work for fox news. \ ////////////////////////////////////////////////// Dont you mean ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN. They are the masters of distorting the truth. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

I would love to see the Germains and the Millers provided more coaching to the canopy pilots so they can become local canopy control coaches instead of teaching the people directly. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Actually i know of a couple canopy coaches that have sat in on both of there course for that purpose. All they did was let Germain and Miller know that that was there intent, to learn to teach better. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

Why I jumped a whole Season with a BASE rig from 13K ft...
JohnDeere replied to badlock's topic in Gear and Rigging
If nothing else changed in this situation except the OP was a master rigger. It would not make a damn bit of differnce~!!!!!!!! Shut up about knowing more about your gear. IT DOES NOT APPLY HERE!!!!!!!! Try starting a new thread. The gear was assembled before he got it. The only lesson he could and did learn about gear is to let his rigger assemble it (were he can watch if he so choses). All of that was cleared up in like the first three post. Try reading next time. It is kinda like a pre-existing condition. If you dont jump before you get the insurance then you are covered latter if you do. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

I have Allstate and i am definatelly covered. It does cost more for the adder. Now if you have there insurance before you start jumping, and dont let it lap, you can start jumping and be covered if you bounce (with out the adder). Allstate also rates you on how many jumps you do a year, the more you jump the cheaper to rate is. That is why i tell my wife i have to jump so much Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! I would have probally (1st instinct) cut the slider in quarters (front to back and side to side). But i do know one thing, i would make that rigger pay!!!! Probally to the point that would put me in prison for a long time. He tried to kill you in an around about way. The only thing is that when i tried i would have a gun! Nothing opens like a Deere! You dont need to downsize or change platforms, at a 1.46 WL. You need to learn to fly the canopy you have for a lot of jumps. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

Have you ever run in a 3-legged race with a friend? ///////////////////////////////////////// Very good answer. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers! -
QuoteA good flat track is not always the most steamlined body position. /////////////////////////////////////////// I have only seen faster trackers be more streamlined. But i can understand what you are saying. Maybe we will have to put it to a test jump next time i get down there Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
-
It is the best way. The only reason you are unswtable is cuase you are not used to that position. Any aerodynamicist will tell you that stability costs performance. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Yea but im not one of those so i couldnt tell him that, Im just a dumb redneck. Besides my explination is a whole lot easyer to read and understand. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
-
Yours may be tight and tucked, but mine is more open and cupped. I need to trap more air to slow down than you probably do. ////////////////////////////////////////////////// But in a streamlined position you trap air by dearching (trapping air more at waist) Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
-
Yes it is more effective with legs and arms together(close to body). The more open they are the more stabble you will be, but the more streamlined you are the more forward movement and slower fall rate you will have. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
-
So since it's inherently unstable, is a flat track not the best way to go about getting velocity and distance with stability? ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// It is the best way. The only reason you are unswtable is cuase you are not used to that position. Think AFF, i dont know about you but i wasnt that stable. With time you will become stable. Best of luck, if you get video the post link and we can se more of what your body is doing. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

NO one wanted you to feel like an idiot, or be embarassed. We just wanted you to see the light and readdress you situation. I hate that the line twist happend at that altitude, but better that than you bounce!!!!! Ego's are easy to fix, you just did by posting your regrets to your fuckup. Glad your OK.
