  1. Rob from Aerodyne just answered and it seems that 143 in a I4 will be just fine. Thanks
  2. Is there any experience in putting a PDR 143 in Icon I4 container? I've mailed Aerodyne more than a few times now but didn't get anything, so i would be intrested if anyone has done it and how it was. Thanks
  3. Had one experience with firebird regarding a 2nd hand system listed on their website...didn't go as expected. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4394725;page=unread#unread
  4. Changed them with longer (15 cm longer) ones, changed risers from 19" to 22", little improvement, but still bucking in turbulences and on front risers. No 150 hornet jumper around to help a bit?
  5. Thanks for the line specs. I sow this file some time ago, but to be honest I'm not very into rigging and is not very clear to me exactly which should be the lenght of the brakes. If i'm not wrong, in the file the line groups are measured one compared to the other.
  6. Just bought a used but in good condition Hornet 150. When trying fron riser with the toggle in my hands, the canopy starts to "buffet" (i think this is the word :)). If I let the toggles go and make another try with the risers, then everything is ok. I also read some posts about this problem and seems that my brakes are too short. My question, for Hornet jumpers or riggers, which should be the standard lenght for the lower brakes of the 150 Hornet. Mine's are 30 cm (almost 12 inch) from above the upper bartack to the knot of the toggle attachement point. Thanks,
  7. I got an answer from Sandy Reid and he's saying that in a couple of weeks they will put out on the market a RI magnetic slider keeper that is more or less similar to the one on the Curve. The attachement to the container will be made on the outside of container. Instructions will be available for field modification. Sounds pretty good. Let's see it.
  8. I allready mailed them and waiting for a reply. The "send the rigg to RI" option is a little bit complicated as I live in Romania, and I think that the transport and the waiting time would not be justified. Thanks a lot.
  9. I think this has been discussed a little in other topic but i'd like to ask some opinions (maybe some experienced riggers) about mounting a slider keeper on a Rigging Inovations Voodoo container. As you know Voodoo has a realy wide reserve pin cover flap and the elastic of the slider keeper cannot reach the normal position because of some tape hat goes under last reserve closing flap. Another option would be to cut the elastic and attach velcro to the loose ends, drive it under the pin cover flap, but higher than the tape that goes under last cosing flapand then close the velcro, but I don't know how safe this is. I'll try to make a picture to be more clear. Thanks.
  10. His english got much better :) This is what he answered after I asked a couple of questions about his identity: I appreciate your response,I'm an marine engineer and at this moment am presently working offshore,Sometimes access to regular emails and phone calls is very poor offshore due to inefficiency of the immarsat service,I located in Pacific WA, and i want you to know that I am ok with the condition of the canopy and the asking price as well,I am buying the canopy as a gift for my father and I want to surprise him.I don't have access to my bank account on-line as i don't have internet banking but i have my bank account attached to my PayPal account and this is why i insisted in paying you through PayPal,kindly get back to me with your PayPal email address and if you don't have PayPal account yet,it is very easy to set up at your bank or online and get it set up,after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with PayPal so as to put the money through,I can proceed with the payment and after the payment has been done,I have a pick up agent that will come around for verifications and to pick the canopy after i have made the payments for the canopy. So I will need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the making of the payment. 1.Your PayPal full name. 2.Your PayPal Email Address. 3..Your phone number. Once again ,I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for shipping. I will have my pick-up agent come over as soon as you have receive the payment confirmation. Regards. Pretty funny. I supose the katana listed in the post above was for his grandpa :)

  12. Hei, thanks a lot for the answer. Tomorow I will have the first jumps on it. Hope the size and the pockets on the slider do their job and I'll have some pretty confortable openings.
  13. Just bought a used Hornet 150 and I'm curious about the sllider of the canopy. I've heard that the slider is pretty huge for slowing the openings and so it was. But another thing, on the front and back of the slider is sewn a piece of material that looks like a pocket. Is this the way that the hornet's slider came from the factory, or is it modified after for slowing the openings? I've attached some not very clear pictures.hanks.
  14. Hei, Does anybody know if I can still get a lineset for a Pisa Hornet 150 sqft. I know that the company was taken over by Aerodyne. Tried to ask them but i didn't get an answer. I'm looking to buy a Hornet 150 in good condition with 500 jumps on and original line set and I'd like to know if I could still find one for replacing in the near future. Thanks,

  16. Thanks everybody. I also use the normal velcro strap on the forearm and it is fine when wearing a jump suite, but in the summer with short sleeve tshirt, the velcro strap slips away to my wrist and gets loose. I'l try the elastic wristband option to see how it works though.
  17. Hi, Does anyone have this setup, or something similar? How exactly the neptune is connected on the elastic wristband? If anybody has a photo(other side of the alti), that would be great. http://store.performancedesigns.com/products.php?product=PD-Wristband Thanks
  18. Hi there, Can anyone tell me the lenght of a original rsl lenyard for a Atom Clasic 34-00, from 1996? I have one container like that without a rsl and I would like to mount one. Unfortunately, Pdf is not very easy to be contacted and I cannot find an original one somewhere else, that's why i was thinking to use a lenyard from diffrent manufacturer. Is something wrong with that as long as it has same lenght? The reserve cable is the normal type that has a pin at the end. It's not the RWS vector type, the one with a loop at the end, where the closing pin is actuallly integrated in the RSL. Thanks, Silviu,
  19. Thanks a lot. So the tempo should fit. A stileto 150 should be around 365 cuin, so this should fit too. The diablo is 7 cells so I think should not be a problem.
  20. I tried, but PDF doesn't really answer, that's why I was wondering if someone tried the combination and if it worked.
  21. Hi, Searched but didn't find much infos about what size main canopy and reserve I can get in a PDF Atom 00 from '96. I have a tempo 150 from '96 reserve that i would like to put in. I heard that tempo packs really small, but is 150 ok for the atom, also putting there an AAD? Also i'm curently jumping a Diablo 150 that in the near future i would like to change it with a Stiletto 150. Would both of theese fit in with the tempo? Did someone tried this before, and what would be packing volume for the atom, tempo and the diablo? Thanks,
  22. There's not much of an option on their page. Either you write to the customer's service mail and you will talk with the "cofee lady" if you're lucky enough to get a reply, or you write to the web design page tehnical. I went with the first one. Maybe wrong choice.
  23. http://akando.com/products/11-gear-bag.aspx Hi, Don't know how much will be the transport tu US(they're from Croatia I think), but the bag is really a baragin for that price. Quality is really good. I've seen some bags treated really ad over the years and they are still in good conditions. There's enough space to put in a unpacked chute and container, fly suite, helmet and accesories. It has also some pockets for papers.Zippers are really good and have the inside protections that doesn't allow to catch-in the canopy material when zipping up if you are too tired to pack your canopy in the end of the day.
  24. Has anyone had anything to do with German FlyFirebird company, and if so, how did they treat you? I tried to have some details from them about a used rig that they were selling on their website, and all I got to have in arround 2 weeks of nearly daily sent mails were a couple of extremly evasive answers, that finalised with one today saying short "the rig is sold". To me is the worst customer service that I experienced 'till now. If anybody intrested i can post the whole mail "discussion".
  25. Doesn't look like one of our bags. Ours are configured the same but with the "Bag Retainer Line" sewn to the inside of the bag. This piece seems to be missing on yours. John Hi John, Can you tell me please the lenght of the "Bag retainer line"that you are talking about from the place that is sewn to the bag to the end that is connected to the canopy, and also the place that the tape is sewn on the bag? Thanks,
