No, I don't have any idea. Aren't there any eyecare people posting on here? I want to do a jump while I'm here in AZ and I'm worried if it's a broken blood vessel, will the airpressure cause a problem? Well, that's what I thought, but could it be serious? To the other reply, Visine is one of the worst things to use in your eyes. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

I'm on vacation and I just noticed a bloody spot on the white of my eye! Should I be concerned?? J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

You wouldn't necessarily have to strip it, but sand it a little, prime it with a primer like "Kilz" (nasty stuff) and then paint it. Stripping it is a lot of work. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

It really would depend on what you really want....a painted one or a stained one. If you are going to paint one, remember to factor in the cost of a good primer and a good paint. It is time consuming and I would use a really nice foam roller to roll the paint on the table top, as it wouldn't leave brush strokes. You would have to give it more than one coat of paint. You have to remember with a painted one, it will eventually 'chip' during normal wear and tear, where as a stained one, it wouldn't be that noticeable. A painted one, you could do any color you wanted it to be. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

Welcome!!! You will get lots of encouragement and info here. It's an awesome feeling isn't it, that first skydive? J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

FFF, Geez, I guess they used the scare tactic on you! You should have posted earlier so that you didn't have to spend the whole weekend worried about it
-
FFF At least you are concerned enough to want to learn all that you can learn about Diabetes. Good for you. I don't even think the Doctors used the scare tactic with my sister, because she is still very naive about the whole thing. Kind of sad, and the rest of us have stopped trying to give suggestions because she just gets defensive about it. She doesn't go out of her way to learn more. I am going to go to some of these sites, so I can learn more and maybe, just maybe she might listen to me....sometime. My sister was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes recently. I wish she was asking for answers and recipes and stuff. It scares me that she isn't taking this as a learning experience. Write down all your questions, and then ask them. I want to learn about this too, so that I am better informed. Why can't doctors sit down with their patients, explain things and give them sample menus to follow. It would be so much easier, huh? Well, not for the Doctors, I guess. Wow, were you just diagnosed with Diabetes? Type 1 or Type 2? Have you been to the American Diabetes site? I had a bunch of sites, I will have to see if I saved any of them. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

Funny story, thanks!!! I would have 'freaked'. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

Thanks, Michele. I am hangin in there and I know it will get better. Friday, I leave for AZ, where it is warm and sunny and my son has two dogs that will really get spoiled this time! J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

My dog just passed away last Monday, and I'm just trying to get over it, slowly. Then today, I witness a dog get hit/run over, by a pick up truck! Geez, I didn't have to see that, I almost got sick. At least the driver stopped. It wasn't his fault, the two dogs just ran right out in front of him. I just didn't need this 'ingrained' into my memory. Just had to vent, sorry. However, if Michele is correct......I can't imagine her claiming her prize! J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

jessd--you are probably right. Some of the books we are required to read for school, might never have been read. I am so glad I had to read and see the original move, "Great Expectations". I also love, "To Kill a Mockingbird, Tom Sawyer and most of the other required reads. Great Expectations would still be my favorite. But for me, a childhood story, I can't remember anyone actually reading me any stories when I was too young to read them myself. Oh my gosh, I love that book!!!! But then, it was my kids' book, as I read it to them. Now, I plan on reading it to my grandkids! J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

Yes, I am a DVD snob too! I will get something else that is on DVD or go to another place. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

A tan really isn't important. The risks might not be worth it, but........I really enjoy basking in the warmth of the sun. I just do it with sunscreen now. Well, usually. I do like to get a little color

Oh My Gosh!!!! Don't want to change the subject here, but look.......I'm a Pooh Bah now! Absolutely no validity in these name tags, huh? J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

Since I grew up without my Mother, I think we were on our own, since my stepmother, didn't do anything for us. I had 3 other sisters, we kind of watched out for each other. But the tomato soup and toast sounds really good. It does depend on what 'ails' you. Garlic, yes! Chicken soup, yes! Get better soon!
