Hunh? I was enjoying your thread. I've participated in several tso projects and military trials . . . Don't be wierd on me now!

Wonder how it came out and why we haven't heard anymore???? D-11672

Well, contest ended last week. Apparently I won, and I should get my free jump ticket at Perris Valley tomorrow!!! D-11672

Free jump ticket for ME tho!!! Woot! Called Perris today, but not there YET! But soon! D-11672

You weren't at Manley's all that long - at least to the best of my recollection. Do you remember me per chance? I was the first person Manley hired at Cal-City. And I do not believe you returned my calculus book . . . you don't still have it by any chance? Lol, I am a math teacher now!

What size Monarch? They are not so responsive this month!!!! Btw, you are not the same Rob that visited Cal-City in the 80's and helped with Butler Parachutes???? Didn't you borrow a Calculus book . . . . D-11672

I did. Also sent them an email last month. I guess they are pretty busy, and someone is eventually supposed to get back to me. Just hoping for a quicker answer - I get so impatient sometimes. D-11672

I was wondering if anyone had a Monarch 175 owners manual and line trim specs??? I bought a canopy that definitely needs a new line set, but the canopy fabric and stitching looks in good shape, at least for a few hundred jumps until I can afford a newer canopy. D-11672

I don't have Windows 7 yet, so no "snip" tool. Here is a link - see if that works??? Since "partial tie dye" was offered free this month I put one panel in . . . . http://skydivewings.com/PimpMyWings/#/dmlzaW9uJnN0YW5kYXJkJjQmOCYyJjgmNCYyJjM5JjImNCY0JjQmNCY4JjYzJjU4JjU4JjU4JjU4JjU4JjU4JjU4JnNwYW5kZXgmMTA4Jjc4JnNwYWNlcmZvYW0mMiY0JnNvZnRwYWQmOCYxMiZoYWNrZXkmODcmOTcmc3RhaW5sZXNzJnN0YW5kYXJkJjYzJjU4JjU4 D-11672

How do you do the page copy? D-11672

Thanks so much for the link! That is what I thought, the party balloons would not be able to lift two men in lawnchairs. IMO they also used weather balloons, which come in a variety of sizes. As a child I was always fascinated by the thought of flying by attaching balloons. I also looked into weather balloons, but they were very expensive for a kid, lol! Still a dream, I just might do a SMALLER more controlled version someday . . . D-11672

You would do well to rent gear with a docile canopy and bite the bullet and ask for radio assistance. D-11672

Thanks for the update Sandy. I only jumped with Bob once. He bet me I wouldn't jump a round and I did! I borrowed old military gear, belly reserve and all. Jim Papke loaned me his leather jacket. I have the picture somewhere. This was mid eighties I think. Anyway, I only got the edge of the target and Bob beat me! D-11672

Thanks!

IIRC the Vector tandem rig manual has a pretty good description. Hmmm, I just looked at the Vector 2 Tandem Owners Manua;, 2003, p. 29, where packing the main is described and no mention is made of using a rubber band for the slider. Which Vector Tandem Manual do you have? D-11672
-
How do you rubber band the slider to the canopy? D-11672

Wow, thanks! In the front I see Dennis Huff (RIP), Mark Hewitt, Linda Whisenhunt, and Graham. Rear I see Dave Deis, Dano?, Joe Crotwell?, Dave Harder, Jim Phillips?, Dave LeClerq?, Danny Schell, Bob Celaya, and not sure of the others. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong! I am just wondering where I was that day? D-11672

It was Danny Benge (RIP) and I remember asking Dano wouldn't he wake up. Dano said "nope" and dropped a large trashcan right by his head and Danny did not wake up! So they put him on the stretcher we had, loaded him onto the DZ truck and put him on the numbers. Danny was not naked, but was sleeping in his tighty whities, and his sleeping bag had been sewn shut. He woke up on the numbers, had to hoof it nearly naked across the entire dropzone to the club. Lol, I asked him how he got back, "walked!" D-11672
