  1. That's me, and in the back is the landscape I see every week end in free fall...
  2. Don't worry, 888888 has mad skillzzz.
  3. Yes, I have a Springo 120 loaded at 1.6 in my second rig. As written, I've always had very nice on heading openings, the glide is great as it is trimmed quite flat, what also means the recovery arc is very short. It is very responsive on toggle input, the front risers pressure is "regular" and it stalls quickly when using the rears (What you don't have to do anyway.). I understand you're looking for a 140, which has exactly the same characteristics. In case you'd be looking for a 110, it's a very different animal. You can ask if you want more detail, as I have 300 jumps on Springos, from 160 to 110 sf.
  4. There is no such thing as a Techno 170 ;-). But any 170 reserve would do.... You're right, typed too fast...
  5. The Legend R is one of the best containers on the market. It lasts forever, is very comfortable and safe. Now that they're back to normal business, delivery time is around 3 months. Two years ago, they made a special deal and people have had to wait up to 18 months to get their stuff! So, if you're not bothered by their shitty after sale service, go for it. And to answer your question, you can easily put a Techno 155 or an Optimum 176 in a 0, and a Techno 170 or an Optimum 193 in a 0,5.
  6. Floflo, don't start with politics, don't answer, don't answer...
  7. You're a girl, you can't understand.
  8. Voted "Other": When your girlfriend wants a big tender kiss right after giving you a blow job... You can't refuse 'cause she's just been so nice to you, but...

    Ass licking

I guess we know how YOU voted! How did you guess? Logic . . . You are French. And France Sucks Ass! . . . Sorry - I tried not to post this - but I just couldn't help myself. I don't really believe that 100%. I forgive you, but just once!

    Ass licking

Uhhh... Wasn't this thread about ass licking? That was much more fun...
  12. Might be a tale... Such a long discussion to get to such an obvious conclusion...
  13. Exactly, I don't know where it first appeared or if it was originally designed for that purpose, but it was first used in France by the military instructors (who didn't jump out of the plane) and were hit by the hard helmets and rifles of the soldiers as they jumped out.
  14. [An internet language translator says that the French "frappe" means "strike" in English. ] As well, but in this case it actually means "hit".
  15. I had a slammer last week with my Crossfire... I had packed carefully as usual, it was a tandem video jump, so I wasn't tracking or did anything special on opening. My container is in perfect condition, and I'm always carefull with my riser covers... It was so hard the DZO was waiting for me when I landed because of the noise they heard from the ground... Next jump, opening smooth as usual.
  16. The Springo is actually a very good canopy, it has nice openings, can make you come back from very long spots and is very playful. The big con for me is that it has a very short recovery arc, but some like it like that...
  17. Don't worry about that now... Helmet and altimeter after your A license, rig after minimum 100 jumps, 150 being even better... Good jumps and have fun!
  18. Just join a copy of the bill, it's the only proof it's used. If you don't have it, in case of control if it looks "old" it might be OK, but that can't be guaranteed. Anyway, on the description of the item specify it's used.
  19. Hi! I'm afraid I'm not going to write what you'd like to read, but it's going to be difficult to just get there and pack. Unless you stay for a few weeks on the same DZ and start knowing local people, nobody will let you pack...
  20. Well, an AAD and no RSL configuration doesn't solve most of those issues?
  21. Hi! I know the DZ in Cuautla, and I can recommend it as well. (And there are beautiful hotels in the region if you feel like it) Just be careful landing because it is 4500 feet high and sometimes at this time of the year unpredictable and very low turbulence happens...

    Electra

I've been using an Electra 170 for my last 100 jumps (I have 250). I chose it after having tried almost 10 different models. What I love about it is that it allows you to do pretty much anything (OK, you won't swoop for a hundred yards...)feeling secure. It is very forgiving when you learn to flare: you always have some power left even if your last turn was too low... For the cons, you need good biceps to use your front risers at every jump... And you really learn to pack! But once you're used to it it's nothing terrible!
