Avoiding collisions (was: Lost Prairie fatality)
huge replied to kallend's topic in Safety and Training
How do you ensure that the group exiting after you will give you proper exit separation? -
I thought that's exactly the point, to ask if anybody is using method proven invalid.
-
It should be OK if he had Stiletto as student canopy.
-
I don't think that is true. The yellow coating is something different Lolon

I'm in Arizona, we don't have broadband either. What is considered here "high speed internet access" or "broadband" would be comparable to dial-up or mobile access anywhere else.

Eat, drink and breath. Make sure that you eat properly, you remain hydrated and pay attention to your breathing in the plane, during the exit, freefall and under the canopy.
-
Don't get me wrong, this is honest question; how many have you drop tested?

According to Google 250 EUR is $325 CAD ($317 USD)

Statement like that tells more about one's sexlife than skydiving

Ready to go left the bar pretty high when it comes to crazy stuff.

It's $20 and good for 90 days. -
In that case you probably find Stanford prison experiment interesting as well.

Yeah, it's different. There are two extra channels (12 and 13) allowed in most of the Europe that aren't allowed in US. There are also differences on max allowed transmit power.

That's what he claimed to have. It'd be nice to know how many hours, if any, he actually had on B737.
-
Yeah, it has happened.

You should definitely add Deland to your list.

I can't remember seeing this as a kid

Jumper Integrity & Logbook Veracity
huge replied to GLIDEANGLE's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ignoring the night jumps, is there some kind of a quality criteria for the 500 jumps that are required for the D license? Can you kill and maim other jumpers on, let's say, 250 of those jumps and still qualify for the D license? -
Dude, that's just mean. You do understand that they will be blaming you for rest of their life for having to live in a trailer next to a DZ and eat noodels because they spend all their money on skydiving.

There is a thread about this in Incidents forum...

I can only say that I wouldn't do it, but then again I'm pretty conservative when it comes to scuba and skydiving. DAN does suggest that there should be 18 hour surface interval before flight if you have done repetitive dives during the day. But then again, those rules or suggestions have been drafted based on the assumption that cabin pressure is equivalent of 2000ft - 8000ft, so in that respect getting to 10k after 3 hour surface interval is definitely pushing the limits.
