I agree. I think human sexuality is just too complex to reduce it to these rather simplistic studies with such small sample sizes...but I think it does raise a lot of questions that make for interesting conversation. There are so many variables. People could have a physical and emotional attraction to the same sex that is beyond "normal" that could be perceived as homosexual behavior but stops short of sexual arousal. There is also the idea of bi-sexuality that I think needs to be addressed. Could it be that many people just have a sexual attraction to both sexes and simply choose one side or the other? There are many men who say they are homosexual, but they still were able to have that emotional, physical and sexual attraction that allowed them the ability to be aroused by a woman, have sex and even raise a families. There also seems to be so many different types of homosexuals...effeminate homosexuals, flamboyant homosexuals, extremely masculine homosexuals, and of course those like the ambiguously gay duo. Could it be that effeminate and flamboyant gays are the "true" homosexuals, and the masculine gays are simple bi-sexual? - I dunno, these are just some observations that I'm throwing out there to raise questions about their significance, if any... Also, though it's not explicitly stated, doesn't it seem as though the article could be implying that homophobes are actually homosexuals that became heterosexual because of a series of choices they made based on the way they were raised? I received a similar email in my yahoo account saying my account has been suspended and that I need to log in though a link that they provided in the email...It was actually pretty convincing - the sender was listed as "yahoo" and they even used the yahoo trade mark. The link they asked me to use was masked but I was able to determine the base domain as meteothes.gr. This site should be used with caution as it could be an identity threat. What I found hilarious is that the email said my account was suspended but I was obviously already logged in and using it as normal....duh. Pretty stupid decision by the casting director. I'm sure there are a lot of Republicans, Conservatives and former military, regardless of party affiliation, who will not pay to see the movie because they detest Fonda for her support of the NVA. It really has nothing to do with her acting ability. Jane Fonda has suffered her entire life due to her controversial stand against the U.S. I'll bet it does not out weigh all the free publicity. Why is it that most all "futuristic" movies depict the future world under some type of tyranical force? There are no racial filters in the city, it's just how urban life is. I've been been beat down twice by the police and once by the EMS...one of those times was unwarranted and the other 2 times was because I'm just a smart ass that knows how to mess with people's heads. (words only...not that I'm proud of that.) But still, it doesn't give them the right to empty a can of pepper spray in my eyes and beat the fuck out of me while handcuffed. I was shot at and told "get back on your side of town, I hate white people." I was harassed and by black cops and stalked by black security guards. My white buddy was beat down by the police at 15 years old...we were drinking in an alley after a high school basketball game. When the cops came we all ran....they got my buddy and beat his ass hard because he wouldn't tell them what "colors" he ran with...he wasn't in a gang, he was just the son of one of our corrupt city councilmen, lol... I can go on and on...but one on the great things that brought us all together was laughing at each other and our differences, no matter if we were white, black, arab muslim, european muslim, catholic, protestant, whatever...I'm tired of this idea that everyone has to be the same.
