How so? When I came back home to Detroit from a 4 year tour, I couldn't even recognize my home town...It was 10x run down...I was surrounded by arabic sinage, women in burkas, mosques blasting the call to prayer, and my Catholic highscool turned into an islamic academy....while a sickly muslim begged me to take him to the hospital as his "brothers" stood by and did NOTHING...some servicemen would've felt as if they never left the mid east...seriously...I didn't know where the hell I was...I seriously felt as if I was in a nightmare. I'm just thankful that God had enough mercy to bring these people here...fuck my property value. Sometimes I don't know what to think anymore when I see the lack of humanity...at least the europen predecessors had enough self respect to take care of their community and their own...wtf? I think it goes deeper than politics with the financial industry. These crooks have basically got a gun to the head of the world's economy. Govt.s are scared to bring them down. Bingo...I was formerly involved with some of these pricks both professionally and romantically...Ifuk it, I was one of them, from the age of 13...they have no ethics. I don't know if it really is sad... Given the choice to change *anything*, I truly think the only thing I really need is a more reasonable salary. Well I think you're just being practical...and you can change that. I think many people may read your OP as something they cannot change. "Smart cars" are a laughable contradiction in terms except for the very few who benefit in terms of parking availibility. Blues, Dave That may be true in rural WA state, but not in NYC (for example). Try to park your SUV at 96th and Broadway. We don't have an SUV, but I'll admit the Camaro would be a poor choice for NYC. Instead, I'd take our Prius, which is safer and more practical than a "smart car", and would get better fuel economy, while fitting into almost as many parking spots. I may be going through a personal family funk right now but I've certainly seen worse days...this too shall pass, but I'm not so optimistic about the rest of the world as a whole...A world on which we have become desperately dependent. This last economic escapade should've never happened....and I find miserable human behavior to be the root cause of it. I hope you're right...these are exciting times for you. ...and I think one of the main reasons we were able to survive times like those was because we were primarily self sufficient and didn't have to depend on other countries who despise us.
