How so? When I came back home to Detroit from a 4 year tour, I couldn't even recognize my home town...It was 10x run down...I was surrounded by arabic sinage, women in burkas, mosques blasting the call to prayer, and my Catholic highscool turned into an islamic academy....while a sickly muslim begged me to take him to the hospital as his "brothers" stood by and did NOTHING...some servicemen would've felt as if they never left the mid east...seriously...I didn't know where the hell I was...I seriously felt as if I was in a nightmare. I'm just thankful that God had enough mercy to bring these people here...fuck my property value. Sometimes I don't know what to think anymore when I see the lack of humanity...at least the europen predecessors had enough self respect to take care of their community and their own...wtf? It had more to do with the logic that if more people (i.e. Muslims) want to live in a desirable area (in a good area near by a Mosque with other Muslims) and have money values would go up. Nothing to do specifically with a Mosque being there. ...and that probably holds true for the suburbs of Detroit once the immigrants get on their feet after a few government subsidies, and learn that this isn't a desert or a place with goats who will eat our grass...we have to mow our lawns here without relying on my dad to keep shit groomed every week. Many of the arabs go on to live very successful lives here in the US...I'm just tired of them shitting on my hometown that put so much into helping make their american dream come true...This is a very sensitive "safe haven" town and we're on the brink of loosing it to the riff raff of Detroit....they don't understand that and jeopardize it for future immigrants.
