A degree is only as good as the person who holds it I have many friends with thousands tied up in an education that they are not willing to use. making it to the next level is hard work with or without a degree and some people (and this shocks me) can put in the time to get the degree but never use it. I never made it to college and did grow up in that trailer park (in south georgia its not if you live in a trailer but if its a single or doublewide)that someone spoke of earlier. our 182 goes to 12500 in 16 minutes on a cool day with 4 jumpers and we hold the state record of a 28 way (I know 28 no big deal) with a caravan and two 182s. yes in ks thats a big way.. DAN SMITH www.skydivewichita.com

over the last couple week we've had a mom and son going through our AFF program. Ryan is the son he's 19 (i think) his moms in her late 30s early 40s ryan passed level 7 and his moms on level 6 (i think) and she's even more excited about it that he is. This may happen a lot at other DZS BUT i think its the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Have any of you seen this before. DAN SMITH www.skydivewichita.com

I'M ONE OF THE OWNERS OF SKYDIVE WICHITA. WE TRY NOT TO BUMP ANYONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE A JUMP. UNTIL THREE MONTHS AGO WE RAN TWO 182'S BUT WE SOLD ONE TO LOWER EXPENCE. AS A RULE WHEN WE HAVE ALOT OF TANDEMS OR STUDENTS WE TRY TO KEEP EVERY OTHER LOAD FOR UPJUMPERS, IT KEEPS THE STUDENTS EXCITED WATCHING THEM LAND AND HEARING THEM TALK ABOUT THERE JUMPS. WE HAVE VERY FEW COMPLAINTS BECAUSE WE TRY TO CATER TO EVERYONE BUT ONCE AND A WHILE SOMEONE FEELS THAT ITS JUST TO SLOW. WHAT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER IS WE'RE DOING THE BEST WE CAN. THE STOCK COMP RATIO IN THE 4.6 LITER ENGINE IS VERY HIGH FOR A TURBO SO BEWARE OF A PROTOTYPE UNLESS THEY DID A LOT OF R&D. YOU CAN PLAN ON THE FUEL UPGRADES THE MORE AIR YOU PUMP THROUGH AN ENGINE THE MORE FUEL IT WILL NEED. BLOWN HEAD GASKETS ALTHOUGH EXPENSIVE ARE NOT ALWAYS A BAD THING THEY ARE YOUR WEAK LINK AND THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN A NEW ENGINE IF YOU USE THE COPPER GASKETS AND THEY ARE TO STRONG YOU COULD BURN PISTONS OR VALVES OR WORSE.
