Or they're happy about their hump numbers, but feel no compulsion to tell hundreds of people who they don't know. Or they're concerned about offending the other party or an ex who reads the forums. There are plenty of other possible reasons, but I'm not going to list all of them. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Does moral objectivity mean there is a God?
livendive replied to steveorino's topic in Speakers Corner
Not necessarily. It seems feasible to me that such moral codes relate to preservation of the species, and are therefore the result of natural selection as opposed to supernaturally imposed. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -
What can the Dems do to change the course in Iraq?
livendive replied to sundevil777's topic in Speakers Corner
Interesting question. I really don't know the answer, but here's what I was wondering yesterday. Since Congress has not declared war in Iraq, but merely authorized the President to use force, would it be legal for them to pass legislation (assuming they had a veto-proof majority) withdrawing or restricting said authorization? I'm not saying that they should do that, just wondering if they could. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -
Poorly, and unfortunately for far too long. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Why? The Republicans and the Democrats are complete and utter fuck-ups right now. At least having opposing parties in the legislative and executive branches should keep either from doing too much stupid shit. I've been hoping for such a stalemate in every election since early 2000. We need an intelligent individual in the Oval Office and without one, I hope that Congress has the authority to slow him down. I agree with your last sentence. But not the rest of that. Record tax revenues aren't all that exciting when they're accompanied by record deficit spending. Pay as you go is as good a plan for the government as it is for your average household. Our politicians, oddly enough more Republicans than Democrats lately, have shown that they can't be fiscally responsible and should not be extended further credit until they prove they are mature enough to handle it. Cutting all deficit spending does that. If they want to spend more, they should get it from their electorate (us), in the form of taxes, not from future generations who won't be able to vote for them out of office for incompetence and a total lack of responsibility. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! GWB will have to look for his veto pen. Nah, he'll just write "signing statements" that allow him to interpret laws in ways that are at odds with their letter and intent, and that increase Presidential authority in ways the authors of our constitution never intended. Ladies, do you like having your breasts touched?
livendive replied to skydivermom's topic in The Bonfire
FOR THE RECORD.... this does NOT mean tuning a radio. Some women seem to like having them bitten, pinched, and/or twisted. Others, not so much. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -

Big boobies *can* be nice, and I've seen a few such pairs, both real and fake. But as a general rule, smaller boobies are usually nicer, until you get into "no boobies" territory. The worst I've seen were very small (A or maybe B cups) AND hung/pointed straight down like a rock in a sock...the worst of both worlds. Pics please. Of the good or the bad? I thought he was referring to the bad, but I don't think I have any pictures of the good big boobies I've seen either...will you send me some? Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" and possibiliy video of 100% of them... cause weren't you on one of the jumps I videoed? Yeah, I was on one with you, and you took stills (saw myself in a few on dzmemories)...that's the other one I was referring to. On the sitfly I did with Kitty and Turtle, I was the only one wearing a camera, and my birdman jump was just a solo, so there can't be more than 50%. I see me...that means there are stills of half of my jumps there! Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Even if I had been motivated to take pictures, I'd have deleted them by now to ensure I never accidentally re-opened them. Some things are too dangerous to leave lying around. No, sometimes they're downright inconvenient/embarassing, e.g. right after a risque phone call or email that is immediately followed by someone walking into my office. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -

I was kind of appalled at the amount of purely negative campaigning I saw this election. The state Democratic party sent out several mailers denouncing Republican candidates as associated with Bush, but not offering anything of their own agenda. I was disappointed and will be sending them my thoughts on the subject to keep in mind next election cycle. I'd suggest that others who didn't like the campaigning they send similar feedback. If a party wins elections after such mailers, they're going to think it was because of those mailers rather than despite them. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

I mailed my ballot in last week. I voted on the ballot measures and maybe 40% of the elections. My reason for not voting in over half the elections was not knowing enough about the candidates. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

An 05 Mazda 6 can be found nicely equipped with less than 20k miles for for a decent price (15-16k). Kinda sporty, kinda economical, and a good-sized trunk. I believe cruise, AC, ABS, traction control, side airbags, and steering wheel stereo controls are all standard. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)
