  1. Don't get me wrong. I believe that tax is a necessity to a certain extent. I just don't see a need to RAISE taxes. There needs to be a REDUCTION in spending... ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  2. I agree. The best is to teach your children about all beliefs and let them choose what is best for them. I'm an atheist but I enrolled my son in a private Christian school. Why? Because I don't like the ratio of teacher per student in the public school and unfortunately, I live in Georgia. I can not find a nondenominational private anywhere. I allowed my daughter to attend a Christian church with her friends which is what my parents allowed me to do as a teenager. I was raised as a Buddhist, baptized as a Mormon, studied Jehovah Witness for 2 years, and attended Catholic church in my teen years. 6 years ago, my family befriended a Christian pastor and got involved in his church. In the end, atheism was the most logical choice for me. I encourage my children to learn about all religions. At the same time, I also teach them that no religion is also a choice.
  3. Why the hell would anybody think that raising tax is the best solution for ANY issue???? ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  4. Is it really that hard to conclude that the oil company would pass on the tax burden to the consumer? Isn't that what most corporations do when modeling their pricing structure? How taxing the oil company will result in lower gas price is beyond my comprehension. But that might be just me.... ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  5. Wow, I would never consider Neal Boortz as a right winger... So, the guy that wrote The Terrible Truth About Liberals and The Commencement Speech You Need to Hear (A Liberal Anti-Virus) is, in your estimation . . . what . . . middle of the road? Just because you're not a liberal, doesn't mean you are a conservative. He's a self-proclaimed Libertarian. They do exist... ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com

  8. The issue here is health care. Which candidate are you going to go for? Candidate No. 1. "I have great faith in the government of the United States. The government has done a wonderful job of protecting the retirement of tens of millions of senior citizens through Social Security, the most successful public program in the history of governance. There are many other tremendous government successes we should be celebrating every day. On the health front we have Medicare, Medicaid and our incredible veteran's hospitals. We also have the new prescription medicine program without which thousands would certainly die every year. The only way to insure that the citizens of this country have adequate health care is to make sure that the same government that brought us Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare brings us our everyday health care services. The private sector works fine for things and services that people don't actually need. Essential services, however, must be provided by government. Profits are OK for non-essential goods and services. Nobody should make an obscene profit caring for the health of our nation. In the first 100 days after my election I will begin the process of nationalizing our health care and health insurance industries. To be sure, it will be expensive. But there are thousands of wealth people in this country who each year earn far more money than they actually need. These millionaires owe a debt to the working people of this country who have enriched them. Starting next January 20th, I'll be the debt collector for the working class." Candidate No. 2 "I know that many of you are distressed over the cost of health care, the cost of health insurance and the difficulty some of your fellow citizens have in getting basic medical care. You have been told that the solution is more government. The reality is that the solution is less government. Since World War II our government has been involved in a systematic and deliberate effort to thwart any attempt Americans might make to become self reliant in terms of their own health care. Big-government politicians have created a tax structure whereby your employer can get a big tax write-off for providing you with insurance, but you get no tax break if you buy that insurance policy on your own. The goal here has been to compel you to rely on others for your health insurance rather than yourself. Lobbyists have cajoled state legislatures to add expensive "mandates" to insurance policies, often pricing those insurance policies out of your reach. If, after all, you and your spouse have no plans to procreate, why should you pay for maternity benefits? I understand the power of the competitive free marketplace. Our history is full of examples of explosions in innovation and customer service for many industries when the government gets out of the way. For one example you need look no further than the deregulation of the phone companies. As your president I intend to use the proven power of the free market to make health care more affordable and available to all Americans. No longer will our tax code punish you for assuming the responsibility for your own medical care. Under my reform plans you will be able to put aside thousands of dollars every year, tax free, to cover your basic medical needs. This will enable you to buy insurance policies; policies free of mandates; policies tailored to meet your specific needs. These policies will be substantially cheaper than those available to you today because of the large deductibles your medical savings accounts will allow. History shows when the government gets out of the way of the free marketplace the consumers are the eventual winners. This would include consumers of health care. I'm not interested in giving the government the power to control your health care. I'll leave that desire to those who believe America is great because of government. My goal will be to get the government out of the way and unleash the power of the marketplace." ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  9. I know! That ref jumped the gun! I felt bad for Vera even if I thought Werdum was going to win anyway...but then with these fights, you never know until it's completely over. Vera still could have won... ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  10. I know he's a future Hall of Famer, I would like to see these guys retire with the last fight as a winner. I guess we'll have to wait for his fight with Serra to get that satisfaction! I agree with you on Bisping. He is a much better fighter but I still don't like him because now I won't get to see Hamill kick his ass!! ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  11. It is starting to be expensive now that UFC has an event EVERY month. By the way, did anybody watch UFC 85? I felt sorry for Matt Hughes...but then again, I really wasn't sure if he stood a chance against Thiago Alves considering how much bigger that boy is! And it was pure muscle! The other fights were really entertaining as well. Is it me, or does it seem like there is more "pressure" for the fighters to "perform"? There was an unusually frequent interruptions from the referee to break up the fighters or stand them up... ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com

  13. Last Xmas boogie, I didn't know what to bring...Lee told me "Noodles." So, I'll bring out my big ass WOK and fry some damn noodles. Those of you with dogs...I suggest you hide them. If they go missing, it's not my fault! -- I know I was told to "Walk dog, not put dog in wok!" But...English is my 2nd language so I might get confused . ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  14. Taking a break now because of my shoulders. Have to have surgery to repair both of them. They dislocate very easily. Just 2 weeks ago, my right shoulder dislocated when I SNEEZED! So, I've been grounded since January of this year... I miss it. I miss it bad!!! ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  15. Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? Hell freaking no! Not in this society/time and age. Is exploring sex with different people a bad thing? Nope. In fact, it's considered healthy and recommended by most "psychologist". Does that mean you should be promiscuous? No. It's all relative to what stage you are at in your life... ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  16. Let me guess...you're a closet WWF fan? Man, have you heard of the latest development in MMA? Affliction & Donald Trump teaming up together to promote the upcoming July event featuring Fedor vs Tim Silva? And then Tito maybe promoting his own MMA organization? Might become like the "pro"wrestling arena soon.... ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com

  19. You didn't miss anything other than them making a spectacle of the MMA sport in general... Sad...they put on 2 events so far and both headlined by Kimbo. You would think being a big network, they could recruit some more fighters... ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  20. No, but I've been informed that Faber won! Have to wait to see it tomorrow morning. ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  21. Dana was right about Amir's jaw, but Matt didn't land many hits that weren't at least partially blocked. Both fighters gassed early though. Surprising for Matt's experience level. No kidding. I like them both so I couldn't root for either. But Amir will be my favorite choice to win for the rest of the season! ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
  22. Oh, c'mon. They showed him sleeping in only one episode! I think Forest's team is doing an excellent job training these fighters but I also think Juanito is a damn good coach as well. As for Rampage, he's a great entertainer!! I still love the guy! ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
