Comments concerning a Canopy Licensing System
Krip replied to MakeItHappen's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hi Joey John Mitchell jumps at Kapow and he would like to have a talk with you. John says he's tired of seeing his friends die. Walk up to John and introduce yourself. Have a happy. R. One Jump Wonder -

If there's a exclusion for "General Aviation" beware that may include skydiving. Knew a jumper that was denied a medical claim for a broken leg due to the G.A. loophole. After that surprise fell off the: roof, ladder, tree was listed as the cause. Maybe a separate rider that listed skydiving specifically might prevent some of the loophole problem. One Jump Wonder

21 Wanted to start when I was 19 but my mommy wouldn't sign the under 21yo waiver required by the military jump club. Had to cool my heals until 1968 to make my first jump. Whine whine whine One Jump Wonder

Again as already pointed out, again and again... MAKE MULTIPLE PASSES!!!! Don't tell me to get the fuck out, I'm either going to fuck with you on he plane, or on the ground, and or shut the door in your face, just to see your expression! Seriously all of this yelling causes incidents and off site landings. Never mind the fact that it's a distraction to the pilot! Do you realize that many DZs' wont run multiple passes solley because of fule costs?? At what cost to safety???? C And their not really saving anything anyways!!! Talk a bout thread drift. Read the op how the hell did you all end up on this tangent. Go arounds don't cost extra money Please explain that one. More cost effective to make one pass and either send the truck to get the people that landed off or they can walk back. Depending on the size and number of the groups the solos and 2 ways that are in the front of bus will probably get out long. They need to learn how to deal with it. Go arounds some places may give it to some groups and not others. There's a reason the peeps in the front including the TMs are yelling go go. They know there's no go around. The TMs want to keep their jobs any know what will happen if they ask for two many go arounds. I haven't been to every DZ in the world, for some dzs the spot is very critical they might give a Second pass, but in general terms the second pass isnt going to happen at a efficiently run dz. Don't like it to bad land with the plane and see if you get your lift ticket back. One Jump Wonder

Why trouble her with insignificant details of no real concern anyway right? Exactly. Seriously, she needs some sister-wives. Not for more kids, but to raise the kids we have, cook and clean so we can go have fun vacations. Theoretically It could work with the right mix of people. In reality your dealing with humans beings, their emotions egos etc. Do you really want to come home to 2 pissed off women. Stay in fantasy land and be happy. It's rarely ever as good as in reality. Or so I've heard. One Jump Wonder

Never sent or received text. Real men don't argue with the SO. They know resistance is futile. Ever try and mess with a cop. One Jump Wonder

Hi Mr T Even in Ks and MO there were a few polish PC's. No disrespect intended to our polish brothers and sisters. But the arrow was unique. At our little club we heard the tunderbow was called a polish because the arrow would point to the DZ. Whatever, everyone was backing up most of the time anyway. So the arrow on the canopy was pointed away from the dz from where you were coming from not where you were headed. Damn winds and a short spot One Jump Wonder

Hi I would like to thank everyone who responded. In my personal situation I damn sure don't need to be on Facebook. Some folks need to stay connected, if it works for them

Question: Does everyone have to/ need to sign up for facebook.? Is resistance futile? What are the adantages and disadvantages of facebook. I'm not a techie but it looks like facebook is becoming a gate keeper to certain info. Reminds me of USPA, another mononoply One Jump Wonder

Hi Machupo I'm a RVN vet, how dare you even suggest who we can say thank you for your service to and when. Its called free speech and its protected by the US constitiution. The retired 3 star that wrote his opinion to the NY times. Is what it is. Do you really think the way the military is treating their TBI's and PTSD wounded is going to help us accept another draft with hollow promises. Machupo: I hear what your saying and I understand your concerns but what the hell. Thank you for your service dude. Have a nice day. One Jump Wonder

Hi First place we stayed while attending college had a community fridge that never got cleaned out at the end of the semester. I opened the door to that fridge only one time. More food had been added to whatever lived inthe fridge and had been growing and mutating for yrs. If you double bagged your brews and left them in the fridge you might be ok but just in case wear your welding gloves before you stick your hand inside to retrieve one. College sure was fun. ***Good post! I have friends who fought in Nam and are still, suffering the consequences. Mostly PTSD and have had some bad experiences with 'the system', all these years. That's a horrible way to treat our service men and women. It's good to remember those who have given their lives to keep us free and spoiled but we need to take care of those with us. You're right! I need to write a letter. Hi Chuck http://www.stripes.com/critics-fort-carson-policy-targeted-troubled-wounded-soldiers-1.160871 Could't find the quote from the man that wears the 3stars But Did find the above link that basically says the same thing. Its not just Ft Carson Its Ft Hood and and the rest of the army bases that are lead by the ring knockers leading from the rear. The armys willingness to throw away these wounded troops without benifits to save a buck after pissing away $ Bllions in the sand/rock pile is what it is. "We support our troops"

Remember Mr John Wayne Bobbit He lucked out and his unhappy wife just cut him off and threw it away. Now the cutter runs it thru the garbage disposal and away it goes down the drain. One Jump Wonder

What secures it is money. No they're not all the same, some were real silver, some were glass... I have a good buddy that's got a '57 and just won best in show at some annual Rolls boogie. Hi Mr T Thanks for the pic. Thats a real ROLLS ROYCE. The curves on the fenders are beautiful. Im trying to find out about the last 5 yrs. Thanks to you we both know the demographics of the town I live in. We saw the newer Rolls parked in the grocery store parking lot when we went shopping for groceries. No way do I want a rolls hood ornament, that isn't mine, want one or need one. I was just curious what keeps them from falling off, stolen etc.Recently there wasna show on the telly where a group tried to authenticate the glass hoodie. Like everything else their are knockoffs. Might have to surf the net and see if I can buy a inexpensive plastic knockoff of the solid silver hood ornament. Then Figure out how to attach it to my trailblazer so I can fit in and feel important thinking maybe glue or Brando style. I checked out the interior of the rolls at the grocery store. Looked ok until I noticed the light blue long hair carpet renements the owner was using to protect the original carpeting. One Jump Wonder

***...and take the time to thank a service man or woman. Absolutely and while your at it take the time to write your congress person about the fubar at the VA. Remember what happened when Gen Patton started to scream at a wounded soldier suffering from shell shock in the field hospital. Screaming cussing etc. To bad he did it in front of the Drs. The same shit is going on again except now the Generals in their rush to downsize have figured out a way to do the same thing with a less than honorable discharge. TBI and PTSD wounded the generals are looking for any excuse to issue these wounded soldiers the less than honorable that strips the vet of all benifits including medical care etc and their the ones that need it the most. Google stars and stripes the reporter asks the man with the 3 stars, how many G.I.s this is happening to. Ass wipe had the nerve to say he didn't know because they didnt keep track of those numbers. Remember the propaganda program with the slogan We support our troops and the yellow magnetic ribbons that some folks put on their cars. That was supposed to show our troops, their family and john q public we wouldn't forget them like the troops coming home from the nam. Propaganda works and the vets that are injured but not missing a limb are getting screwed. I'm disgusted with the whole situation. To bad so sad. One Jump Wonder

Hi N Some folks just have a laid back attitude, and their not going to change. Rather than let our food go cold while we wait. We just start eating without them. The repeat offender showed up late enough that we were finished eating, table cleared etc. The dude shows up that late and asks whats for dinner. We set one plate in the dining room nuke his food and let him eat by himself while we resume reading our poetry in the library. N this none of my business but is the person your talking about the same dude that left you in the dust while hiking, and belittled your card playing strategy, in spite of you winning. Not everyone is connected. I leave early to insure that Im on time, imo its a sign of respect and I expect it to be returned. Even in the Seattle metropolis Some folks have issue's and try to use their lateness to maintain power and control. If you accept that type of treatment it will continue until you take back control. R
