Well, as part of my schooling I've spent a lot of time dabbling into pretty much every (major) area of art.... I have a few of my drawings framed, but not my paintings. I have however recently learned how to throw pots on the wheel... and I've been doing so much of it, that I think every bowl in our apartment is hand-made now! That's pretty exciting! I can't even tell you how many all-nighters I pulled in the studio though... it's like anything that you get into... you just don't want to stop, and you don't realize how much you learn in the process

I've heard City of God is a really good movie... is that based on a true story? Apparently so. The childhood of a guy who grew up amid gang warfare in the slums of the Cidade de Deus and managed to become a pretty famous photographer. It is a must see film.

we went to skydive hawaii.... they were so much fun... my friend had never jumped before, we went once, and jumped again that day... then we went back really early the next morning, did two jumps, and they shuttled us to the airport to catch our flight... haha they were awesome! a friend and I were just in Honolulu at the beginning of March for spring break... Honolulu was a little congested for me, but once we got up to the north shore to do some jumps (4 to be exact) I began wishing we would have stayed up there instead. Now the next time we go back we'll *hopefully* be jumping on our own

eek! I saw an interview on that guy.... talk about scary...! So, I bought the departed before seeing it b/c I love gangster movies & hadn't heard one bad thing about it.... I watched it on a portable dvd player on the plane ride to hawaii..... the batteries went dead right at the end when leonardo dicaprio and matt damon were on the top of the building..... ahhh I had to charge the batteries and finish it as soon as I got to the hotel... whew..! good movie! I came across an article probably 2 weeks ago that was talking about trying to use skydiving as a recovery method for drug users..... it basically said that drug users are addicted to the adrenaline and risk of taking drugs as well as the feelings they get after taking it.... they were trying to compare that to skydiving, and said that skydiving may be a good substitute for people trying to get clean..... I was trying to look for the article for you, but I couldn't find it.... maybe you could dig a little deeper than I did though I know the article has to be rather new, and I found it online somewhere... just can't remember the website... sorry!
