OK maybe I have a high opinion of myself but.......you have never seen my work so I don't think that it too arrogant..........but if all you judge by is jump numbers than I guess that your opinion is as good as mine! I am willing to bet that most people who shoot outside video would be willing to put their work against a handcam!

Hey I'll put my outside videos against any handcam job any day, any time! It's funny me a couple of TM's were talking about hand cams this week and they mostly did not like them. I share the opinion that outside video is better. I jump at a cessna DZ and the quality of the video is a big factor so I don't have to worry about anyone running over my work anytime soon. I don't jump for a living, but do well enough that the hobby pays for itself. All said I would get pretty pissed if someone tried to run me out after my $4000.+ investment in cameras, helmets, suits and time was thrown to the side! ________________________________________________ .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

Alright I have searched and searched and searched but have not found an acceptible answer yet. I have been playing with my 20D and just wondered what everyone is shooting as far as RAW, JPEG, s, m, l, FINE, etc. If I understand it right raw is uncompressed....there by taking more space. Basically I am just trying to find out if there is an advantage one way or another as far as printable photos........I have also read that if you over expose while shooting in raw that you will not be able to tell by the LCD as it is shown in JPEG.......yes I am taking a class specifically for the 20D but it is not until next month. thanks ________________________________________ .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

Word of advice...............on a day with a 2000' ceiling if someone asks "Do ya'll trust GPS?" say no. Alright I finally caved and bought a 20D........got the 20d, with the standard lens (for use with the family), and a sigma fixed 20mm, plus the 2 year you break it they give up a new one warrenty all for around 2g's from Ritz. I could have saved money by going online but the warm feeling in the tummy I get from talking to a live person is worth the extra cost! I also picked up a spare sony TRV so 2600 for all was not to bad. As far as mounting it, I have a FTP and plan on using the L bracket but I was wondering if anyone has made a longer bracket to accomidate the extra lens lenth? Just my 2 cents but WRONG! You need to be proficient at flying all diciplines, filming tandems, RW, freeflying is not as easy as it looks and if you are not a proficient flyer you will only be a danger to the people you are trying to film. Yea I'm sure you can strap a camera on your head and do fine but don't rush it, there is no need for you to jump into something that could very easily get you and / or others hurt! _______________________________________ .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

I bought a copy of final cut express and since it is so different than what I am used to can anyone recommend a good training type book to get. I use studio 9 on my PC, it's not the best program out there but for $100 you can turn out some nice videos! I recently bought a Mac and I am having to learn how to use Final Cut Express, so I feel your pain.

Well if your budget is big enough that you can afford the Adobe pro bundle than there are several Adobe users who can chime in. I started with a cheap $100 program to learn the basics of non-linear editing and I just switched to a Mac and now I am going to use Final Cut.

Alright sorry if I touched a nerve but........I'm not an idiot and I already have an over built PC on which I edit my videos on, but that PC is connected to the net and the wife and kids have access to it there by making me constantly unscrew it at least once a week. Apple's O/S has a good rep for resisting all of the nasty things that todays hackers / spammers / and spy ware makers can throw at it.

Apple just updated their web sit yesterday. The Panther O/S is now included. They have dropped the price on the 17" by 100 and the 15" by 300, as well as upgrading the processor to a 1.6. I went to buy one a couple months ago and am glad I waited. Is anyone using Final Cut Express / Pro? I am going to get FC express, hopefully its not to complicated.
