  1. I'm game for any ideas on a boogie video, I will not be out for a couple of weeks as I am working. -I think that the S&TA is going to be a little choosey on camera flyers for the flops as we had a few over the last couple of years that failed to produce. Talked to Stacey last night and he will be there throughout.....we just need to keep him confined to the airport as the local bars all have a wanted poster with his face on it!
  2. S&TA WrightSkyGuy divnswoop mwabd1 (Have tripod will travel!) _______________________________________ .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!
  3. Alright back on topic! We got Mikey's B-Day and Texas Hold em on Thursday and we all know what is happening on Saturday............what are we doing Friday night????? I talked to one of the Pits and we should have enough inflatables to go around........and a fair warning now! I will have all 5 of my cameras going throughout the weekend......and yes the Super Night Shot works great so please drink up and don't be shy! We did not get a boogie video last year and I am going to offer up my services to Git 'er Done this year!
  4. Hmmmmm......clothing optional jello dunktank?
  5. I am using Studio 10 and yes it did crash alot but the latest patch has fixed that problem. I like the studio line for tandem videos if for no other reason than ease of use. It renders effects and transitions while you edit so rendering time is alot shorter. I would definitly recommend it now that the problems are fixed!
  6. I have jumped the kit lens.......auto focus and in sports mode. I thought that it did an outstanding job. I normally put my Sigma 20mm on the front but depending on the helmet I will still jump the kit lens to cut the weight down, just don't forget to tape down the zoom ring.
  7. So we have a poker game thursday night, the Hog Flop sat..........the electric 8-way.........anyone got a slip and slide, I have a few gallons of veggy oil!
  8. 2 TRV-350 )digital 8) 1 PC-109 1 Canon Rebel G (35mm) 1 Canon 20D of course I have a Bonehead FTN and a FTP, one for the 109 and 20D and the FTN for the D8 and the 35mm.
  9. Kick ass...........now I just have to get my vacation changed at work!
  10. Since I'm the 1st to register.....what do I get?
  11. I think that it all boils down to someones security blanket. I have 18 or 20 night jumps, everything from solo to 4-way and even some CReW. If your not safe going outside of your own limits than don't do night jumps and settle for a "C" license.
  12. YA know that you can get a waiver if you have a valid reason not to do the night jumps/
  13. 38 minutes left......come on people SIGN UP!
  14. The quality of Sony camcorders speaks for itself. I had 3 and the oldest has 650 some jumps with no problems. As far as getting started it is going to depend on what type of helmet you choose. I prefer top mount so I have 2 TRV's and a PC109 (to mount side by side with a 20D).
  15. A bit off topic but...................... Just read a letter from the local Electricians union in Jax with some bad news about you Adam.......are you still around????
  16. I have a 20D with a Sigma 20mm. I shot in auto all of the time and the pics turn out great!
  17. Thanks for that one........it's keeps my fingures from typing until they hurt! Anyway a while back in Deland I saw a FTP that had a wider top plate (2" overhang each side), the guy had taken and cut it in with some kind of filler and then glassed over it so it was a smooth transition, that may be a little more work than most people but it looked great, he also had a VX-2000 and a 20D on top, neither of which hung over the side.
  18. As with the rest without seeing the video there can be no comment. The TM's I jump with always wave or salute or something and I in turn wave goodbye to the student, it gets my arms in front of me and gets me to backslide and it also gets the students attention so they are looking at the camera.
  19. The setup on my FTP has the button on the top plate directly in front of the cameras. I was thinking of just going with a hypeye for the FTN if for no other reason just not to drill anymore holes and my camera is exposed so the button is easy to get to.
  20. Where I work its $75 for video and still in what ever plane is flying that day. $47 to the vidiot $22 for the slot and $6 to the DZ. We provide all our own materials and edit ourselves.
  21. Curious.........I just picked up a FTN to go with my FTP and am wondering how people have their cam eyes mounted. Refering to the button, I was thinking of just wedging it between the cranial, any suggestions?
  22. This..... http://cgi.ebay.com/Remote-Switch-For-Canon-EOS-1D-MarkII-20D-10D-RS-80N3_W0QQitemZ160007739610QQihZ006QQcategoryZ64345QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem it has a stero plug on the side, I have a FTP and it hides in the top, you just plug the normal switch with the stero plug into it and get rid of the button, cover the opening with tape and your good to go.
  23. I have a PC-109 and a 20D mounted flat. The 20D hangs over about an 1 1/2". Yea its a snag hazard but I have hundreds of jumps on it with no problems.
