Ran across this on Aerohio's website!!! Marathon Keys Boogie Jan 29 through Feb 1 -34 Otter..... Been sitting here in Ohio without power for two days, no phone, -6 degree temps, under a blanket of 6 inches of snow and 4 inches of PURE ICE! Yeah.....going to have to hit this one up...Might even take a big hunk of this ice down with me to make margaritas with just so I get the last laugh at this crappy weather.... Eveything still on tonight? I mean, we did get a "little" ice. Other than 75% of the trees being brought down by the ice and the fact that 300,000 can't shower because they don't have power(sniff sniff), doesn't mean we can't drink and have fun tonight! yeah...that way I won't think about the -8 degrees they are forcasting for Fri night!

Try not to think about it as reseting. JM's responsibilities are the same on every jump. You should prepare to end up on either side, right side up, or down! Mentally prepare yourself for all the possible outcomes on the bottom end. Don't just think reserve side because thats where you leave the airplane. Well....I can only speak for the beginning of the night. Alana came close on the all gutterball game and also won the "why did I end up halfway down the lane award!" I did roll a 216 after my Jager kicked in. Then something happened when we went and shot pool. What I DO remember/learned is: 1.NOT to take any more "oatmeal cookie" shots even if they are free..(sorry amanda) 2. Don't call us and tell us your driving down only to call and say your not coming an hour after u were supposed to be there.(steph) 3. Kelly and I could of ran the table allnight if I was a little more sober. (thanks to her jagerbombs) 4. To keep better track of the people I'm with.(somewhere between 12:30 & 2 I lost 15 people. bye guys!) 5.Don't try to keep up drinkin with the seasoned college girls. 6. Now normally I completely enjoy falling asleep and waking up to a tongue bath...But when I woke up to one delivered by somebody with a cold nose and floppy ears, I thought maybe I needed to evaluate everything that happened last night to make sure it didn't happen again!( or to make sure it did) SOOO, what are we doing next weekend?!!! Hey Kelly!!! It's off 161 and Cleveland on the northeast side of town. If you come down 71 take the 270 East exit then get off at the first exit which is Cleveland ave southbound. You'll go through a couple lights and past Fujiyama on your right. I believe the next road is 161...Turn left. Once on 161 turn left at what I believe is the 2nd light.(theres a strip mall and a little office building there) The Palace is around the right of the strip mall in the rear. The deal is.....go jump the -34 otter in Palatka. It has thick foam benches and screams to altitude....Nobody else seems to have their story straight!

So your saying that twin otters with -34's can't be operated within the limitations of the airframe? If the engines are not ran at 100% and below the torque that the plane is rated for, where is the problem? As far as DZO's and managers....I worked at a dz that did random drug tests... and been at Dz's where the manager was messed up on drugs every night. I've seen loads not go up because the wind was blowing past 20, loads that went up IN winds blowing 25 gusting to 35, and dz's that didn't even have a wind meter. The more you travel the more you see.....of course nothing surprises me anymore.

Went to x-keys for the summer and lost 10 pounds during the summer!! Came back to Ohio in Nov and got weather induced depression. So, I went to Sebastian for a couple weeks. Things were slow and couldn't find any work so I'm back for x-mas then headed back down to travel with 3434. You heading to the Marathon Keys Boogie this year? It's normally a lousy time but......

No.... crosskeys haven't accepted them for a while...I heard that Pennridge is closely connected to skyride though. There is a strong anti-skyride feeling in x-keys.

OH NO!! I was a little depressed after leaving Sebastian on Monday and returning to 19 degree weather here.......BUT some bowling and drunkin go-cart driving could change that! How have you been Alana? Is that Nate's Steph your talking about? ....went bowling in sebastian last week.....not allowed to bowl there anymore...

Yeah, I realized that the super bowl was during the keys boogie...not that I'd want to leave there...but I'm sure I could miss a couple days for an event like that!!! I've had to "instructor assist" a couple from the reserve side on the old spring loaded Jav. in the 90's. The main flap would hold the pilot chute in from escaping. The only other time is when we were simulating all the malfunctions for a video. My buddy pulled his pilot chute out and held on to it, while I reached in and deployed the bag to simulate a horseshoe mally....(that one wasn't fun!!)

All you just have to make it across the road.....of course I remember(kinda) that being a problem after taking a couple of the bartenders from the DAV hall on tandems...then they took me for a ride that ended up causing me to be by a toilet all night

Those "little" wrist mounted flotation devices.....aqua buoys are just a cadaver locating inflatable. Buy a good one!!!
