  1. I'm in the market for a new AAD and I can't decide between a new Cypres 2 or a Vigil 2. I previously owned a Cypres and had it for its entire life from new. Never had it fire but I did have complete trust and faith in its capabilities and reputation. However, the current battery life / unit life and cost of a Cypres 2 make it less attractive compared to the Vigil's likewise benefits. I'm not that familiar with the Vigil's cons vs pros. Anyone have any light to shed on which unit is the best for the price, 'effectiveness', reputation and longevity?
  2. I remember that weekend Jimmy T. It was amazing to watch the Flyboyz in action. They had such zest for life, as a team and as individuals, so willing to share and happy to be living, breathing joy and smiles into every moment, every skydive. The hot tub party was a highlight .... Eli had such joie de vivre! Eli is a star that shines brightly in the sky, leaving trails of stardust, flying circles around all the other constellations in the universe. RIP Eli. You will be missed. Condolences to Sarah and your beautiful family and circle of friends.
  3. I'm so sorry for your loss Clint. I really liked and respected Crash a lot. We spent a lot of time packing together at Skydive Toronto in the early days. He had his quirky gruff moments, but don't we all? Most of all, he was a kind sweet man with a generous spirit, a most memorable laugh and a heart of gold. All he wanted was a break in life, enjoying what he loved to do. He went after his dreams, and that truly is inspiring. Crash was one of the few fellow packers who never squabbled over the packing work we shared and we worked in harmony together. My husband got to meet Crash this past winter (I hadn't seen him in about 10 years, but it was as if it were yesterday) and we had a lengthy tour of his loft and spent some quality time catching up. I'm grateful for those memories. Blue skies Crash. I know that you're having a blast, wherever you are. Peace ....
  4. I'm looking for a co-driver to share driving +, leaving Monday Dec 19th for Eloy from an area east of Chicago, Illinois (DeKalb). Any contributions towards expenses would be appreciated. Hoping to drive straight through with a stop in Albuquerque on Tuesday evening. Can pick up along my route, south through MIssouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and a stop in Phoenix overnight (hopefully Wednesday?) before leaving for Eloy on the 22nd in the morning.
  5. This was designed by a friend, for my birthday ... I asked her to design a tattoo that portrayed my 'essence', and this is what she came up with! I couldn't have asked for a nicer tribute ....
  6. Hey Peter, weren't you on the 4th of July demo that landed in the water, just south of Santa Cruz? Remember -- Jess and Shoobi were 'spotting'. Or were you one of the lucky few that landed on the beach??! xo your AFF Partner
  7. Thanks for the trip down memory lane! It actually surprised me to see how many dzs I've been to in my 12 years of skydiving. Explains why I have so few jumps .... seems like I've spent all my money on travelling! Thailand is the next goal on my list of 'places to jump'. Blue skies .... 8. Hi, i'm wondering if the side-mounted camera box for the Sony PC5 will fit the PC9 for my hawkeye helmet. I'm upgrading and want to know if I need a new box. Thanks for your info, in advance.
