Sorted since yesterday evening. I'm taking a week off & getting my AFF classes mid July in Spa, found a hotel nearby with a pool, sauna etc... I'll then be able to do jumps from Wiltz after I get that licence (if I understood correctly?). Cheers! Join me in my "no clouds" petition!

Spanish? My girl's portugese...but I don't think she likes it when we mix 'em up hehe.(hey don't pick on me if i didn't get it... I just woke up!) I grew up in Asia, then spent some time in the US (KY) and more in southern England... I tend to mix the languages sometimes... can't realy take any credit for it, it just happened. Aye, it's a pretty small DZ (well...can't compare, since this is the only one I've been to so far)... Spent the whole day there watching others jump and getting sunburns. I've seen only one plane (4 seater) and two instructors. It's a purdy small country too

I found out yesterday that the only DZ in this country hasn't got a free spot for classes untill September. Knowing we only have 50ish non-rainy days here... grrrr. I don't drive, so going further is not an option... looks like I'll be doing a few tandem rides while waiting. Join me in my "no clouds" petition!

Oi lads... You're complaining about football (soccer for the colour impaired) ... I agree wholeheartedly. But you ain't seen BORING untill you had the TOUR DE FRANCE/ITALY/SPAIN/TUMBUCTU(sp?) forcefully being displayed... not that is the king of "boring". Need I bring up subject of that odd(er) sport where they push & brush some blocks on a strap of ice? We Yuros rule in boring sports. edit: speeelinge is ovarated Join me in my "no clouds" petition!

AHA! It looks like I've got quite a few options! I'll check with the instructor if I can keep my glasses underneath the goggles on the next jump. In the future, I might go for them sporty glasses that'll (hopefully) make me look sexy. Tried lenses a year ago, but I have to wear rigid ones (4/20 in the left eye)... and they drove me crazy after a few hours. Thank you! Join me in my "no clouds" petition!

Greetings everyone, I've done done my 1st tandem last week end (Haven't been functioning properly since... but that is off topic now , saying I loved it would be an understatement ;)). Anyway... when the chute opened, the instructor let me steer the beast a little, and told me at one point to point towards the DZ... I couldn't see it. I guess that it's hard to recognise landmarks in the air when you're not used to it... but another question came to me this week (Ok, admitedly, this is question #1 of 9999999): I have a pretty poor eyesight, suffer from astygmatism (sp?) and hypermetropy. So, I take it to fully enjoy the ride, it would be best if I could actualy see something I'll be doing my next tandem on the 25th (Planning to go for the SL training after that, but timing was off). Will I (In the future) be able to jump with my regular glasses underneath the other ones... or will I have to buy an extra set that fits with a cord or something? Join me in my "no clouds" petition!

Thank you skymama! I don't think so... I figured the next step would be a SL jump? (You tell me hehehe... I'm the noob here). I have to admit I am scared sh***ess at the thought of jumping on my own, but well... I can't go holding hands my entire life now, can I? :D This is VERY NEW to me, I am reading up on the various techniques... and I'm already dreaming about flysuits... Hiya'all! You can count one more in, and yes... that'd be me. After 3 years of finding every excuse not to do it, I bit on my tongue last week end and did a tandem jump in Wiltz-unpronounceablenamewithalotofzchsxs in Luxembourg. 12000 feet...didn't think much up there, I hink i almost pulled my instructor out of the plane (I rocked out at 2,5 instead of 3).... sun/ground/sun/ground/sun/ground... then RUUUSH!!! I haven't been able to think about anything else since sunday (truth to be told... i almost fell asleep on the dentist chair yesterday, and i used to have a real dentist phobia). I *think* my next jump is scheduled for the 25th in Spa (Belgium). I blame Malta_dog and StSanta for getting me into this... Join me in my "no clouds" petition!
