  1. ...especially after his FIRST reserve ride this morning. Second jump on his new Tony Suit and...........wait for it..........he could not locate his handle. Beer for the first reserve ride and a bottle to the rigger. Scotty Burns and I fetched his freebag, so he took the rig straight to Sally and she packed it up for him. We are all on the next load again (me, Scotty, Scott, Grey Mike). I will gladly help Scott drink his beer later. It must be noted that Scott went over 2000 skydives before this, his first reserve ride. Chuck
  2. I know plenty of truly disturbed people. PLENTY.
  3. No problem with wingsuit night jumps here at Z-hills. Same goes for Raeford.
  4. Somebody please take a screen shot! It's Stacy Weeks! I thought you were dead, girl! Hugs and kisses, Chuckie
  5. I liked it a bit last season, then it became incredibly, and predictably, LAME. Another ER revolving around some very trampy people.
  6. Beauregard HS, class of 1982. There were 73 people in my graduating class. Go Hornets!
  7. I am an Auburn guys and my team got smoked today. Bah Humbug!
  8. Yes, indoor recirculator. Larger than any of the other Skyventure tunnels built to date or are on the drawing board as far as I know.
  9. I have at least 20 jumps from Alouetes. We jumped them at the Panama City, FL PST meet and at the Wildwood Beach PST. We had four jumpers onboard every load. Chuck
  10. I totally agree Pia, and I will gladly help Kate put this meet together if she is serious about it. Chuck PS: we competed together at PSN 2001 and maybe 2002 (if you were there).
  11. Paul did his first flight either last Monday or this Thursday; I forget. Yes, I have video of both Paul and Billy's first flights. Since he occasionally posts on here, maybe he will chime in with his impressions. Paul's first flight was Randy Lopez's second flight, unless I am mistaken. Paul has his own suit. Bob Clark has his own suit; he has about six flights now. Aaron Stoccum has about six flights. Laurie Clark made her first flight about three weeks ago. Chuck
  12. Well, very-long-time skydiver/videographer Billy Porter (Cpt Pooby) just landed from his first wingsuit jump. Well, technically I guess it would have to be called a "hybrid" wingsuit: His own camera wing suit with a separate pair of Tony Suit Z-wing bottoms. The effect was exactly that of a PF Prodigy (only with a bigger arm wing) and he fucking killed it. He had been waiting three weeks for the perfect very-tall cloud to fly around and that's exactly what we got on the last load today. We four flew around 10,000 vertical feet of cloud; it was great. There are only a very few instructors here at Z-hills who have not flown wingsuits now. Some, who swore they would never do it, now ruling the sky. It's a great place to be. Chuck
  13. It must be noted that Tim D'Annunzio is paying cash for the tunnel. It simply does not suck to get paid 35 million dollars for your body armor company. Chuck
  14. I can promise you that the S6 is not a step "back" from the S3. I would just sell mine and continue to jump my Vampire if that were the case. I have really grown to love my S6 though. Chuck
  15. Even if your canopy is spun up, it will start flying straight and level if your connector links are on the same level, touching, over your head. It's that uneveness that causes a canopy to start diving spirals which, ultimately, lead to cutaways. My actions in the case of linetwists are to: let the canopy fully open, level the connector links with harness input, then start kicking out and unzipping as soon as the canopy is straight and level. Chuck
  16. I just got done PM'ing Tom back who, once again, graciously offered to spend a week with me at the potato bridge training me up, whenever I feel like it. I am sure I will take him up on the offer sometime. Ultimately though, the only aspect of the sport that appeals to me are the big wall wingsuit flights. Yes, all of that footage is amazing and I am envious of the people who take the time and spend their money on those trips. Beautiful. Chuck
  17. BWAHAHAHAHA!! Come on man, Ted is the SHIT! Them Texas boys ain't right.
  18. You can't swing a dead cat by the tail without hitting a wingsuit instructor at Z-hills. Yes, we can accomodate first flights in at least three different brands of suits here. Of note here in your case is that there are three or four BIG guys who fly suits regularly here and they all fucking haul ass in the sky! Come on down! Chuck
  19. I can't wait to read Ted and Jason's response to that one. Chuck
  20. I noticed that right away too, Matt. Not to unload on my brother, Mark much more, but after two wingsuit chops, the first thing I do in any linetwist situation is level my links. Chuck
  21. I dont know what Florida DZ she is talking about having this proposed event at, but there are at least three of us in the state with every bit of course material and the experience needed to run a proper meet: myself, Lyle Presse, and Chris Hayes. I don't know where she jumps or if she has talked to anyone somewhere else in the state, but I don't think it's a particularly bad idea. Chuck
  22. That's actually a very good idea, Grey Mike! Seriously. That's something that we could knock out anytime here at the DZ. Chuck
  23. Take a week and a half off and hit BOTH the Hog Flop and Thomaston's Halloween jiggy.
  24. Me? A Banquet "hearty one" salisbury steak (two servings) TV dinner. I am such a simpleton, but you know what? That's exactly what I like. Chuck
  25. I have a LOT of military freefall jumps with equipment and, truth be told, I would rather be jumping equipment when I had an MT1-XX/MC-4 on my back. I just got blown around too much under canopy when I jumped hollywood. Jumping equipment isn't any harder than doing tandems. It's just pretty important that you stick your exits.
